Yea, you quote Jesus in the text but seem to have a wrong interpretation of the text hence your initial comment in which I quoted on we having the power and the belief to create reality thereby making it man-centered teaching, and this is the modern norm in churches.

*Politeness*
Would you say to Lord Jesus he was being man-centered when he said things like 'YOUR faith has set you free" or "Have faith and you can tell a mountain to move", etc.? No you won't. Because his belief and relationship with God is settled. So also with us - our belief in supremacy of God is settled. We have our existence in him. Thus when we say we create our reality, it is understood to mean we create it inside God and according to what God would allow. Thus any question of being man-centered makes no sense

Your theology is so far off from the truth and again no different from the man-centered new age esoteric teachings. You kind of remind me of the book The power of positive thinking that I read which basically taught almost the same thing with some Christianese added to it when I was still ignorant. But as I began to research and kept studying, I'm thankful to God who brought about solid biblical men online who helped point me to the truth and how false it was.

When Jesus said your faith has set you free, He is talking about salvation. Even the faith that seals our salvation is a gift from God (Ephesians 2:8 ). Having faith that something will happen doesn't guarantee anything. Again you don't create whatever. You only ask God in Prayer.
I'm sure you wanted some good things to turn out for you and even believed either in the past but it never did, why? Because there is nothing you can do in and of yourself.

I can tell that you've been exposed to a whole lot of new age teachings either from the books you read or from the movies/series you watch. Well don't bring it into Christianity, because it leads to false doctrine and errors.

So recently I moved in to abuja, and have been visiting this prophetic church for about 2 months

Our prophet performs miracle which seems to be true, but i never saw him heal a crippled man, but he performs wonders and have different branches and does alot of prophecies

They hardly teach abt salvation, as in for people to leave their evil ways and repent from evil doings

They talk much abt seeds, like 3 times every program, pastor must ask people to coms out and saw a seed stylishly.

Sometimes he uses his sweat on handkerchiefs and ask members to come out, he rubs it on u and you drop a seed, and many other examples

Female members dresses anyhow like a club, he once says u should dress sexy, even workers does tattoos, tint hair, men pierce ear, chains, nose chains, and many other drezz which i thinks shouldn't be in a church but to them is normal

So please does Christianity actually permit all these, are all these things fake? If all these aren't real, why do they keep getting members and each there aee people in that place for decades

I need ur view and experience

They are fake miracles. I have a friend here in Benin. He made so much money acting in fake miracle for pastors across this Country. He also have boys that are good in acting this fake miracle. He send gis Boys to various Churches on request by the fake Prophets.

One thing you will notice is that, the fake miracles always involve strangers ONLY. It never involve old members of the Church. Here is the big QUESTION. Does it mean that, no one need a miracle amongst the old members of the Church?

miracles happens every day and everywhere but let me tell u something miracle can never be a coincidence, its either he uses power of God to heal or another source of powers, there is no way things of God can be coincidence brada
Listen! God said He pours out His favor/mercy/kindness daily on even the wicked and the ungrateful, meaning His mercy meets them at "their point of need too" so what has coincidence to do with what God does with His mercy? God Himself does these things. That your gods of men claim glory for that done by God has nothing to do with God but the fact that they are the Evildoers that Jesus Christ warned His followers to steer clear of. undecided

No man has authority from God except he has been approved Holy and Righteous by God Himself. And your many gods of men do not first meet up with God's standard of Holiness and Righteousness, so how can you, against Jesus Christ who said, "By their fruits, you shall know them....", insist that they whom He insisted are Evildoers are definitely of Him? undecided

in the man's word, he doesn't need to pray for u to receive the miracle and u doesn't need to believe before u receive it. He said as long as he place anything he wishes to do for u, u Must receive
You do not! Again, pay heed to what Jesus Christ told you of this. Jesus Christ said God pours out His mercy/favor daily on even the wicked and the ungrateful. You don't need to pray for it nor do you even need to believe it. You just need to go about your life as you will — whether in unbelief, in sin, or in holiness— and they fall on you as God wills it. No man has control over when God will do what He will do. And nothing you do can make it happen or not happen. undecided

Observe the lives of those who do not believe or care for the one you call God and you will see that God works in even their lives. They prosper in their ways, they excel too in what they do, and miracles and wonders happen even in their lives. So it is myopic the way religious people think that it is by their many religious rituals alone that God's mercy works. undecided

The world has ditch salvation for miracles. You will hardly see crowd In a church which has strong stance on salvation. Let people hear u dey perform miracles, boom you will see auditorium. All of them are fake riding on principles of time n events that would Naturally occur on their own. Learn from me, what you prophesie in your life Is stronger than wat any prophet will do for u.
That is because what most want is not God but an easy road to success and material wealth in this world and on their own terms. That, much like the rest of the unbelieving world, is what those who run into religion mostly desire. They are no different from those who don't believe in God at all in that, only they think of God as some sort of "shortcut" to the share that is theirs. undecided

Ever wonder why the word destiny is popular with the religious folks out there? grin

Seems you don't know your Bible very well. See below what Lord Jesus was talking about. He was not talking about salvation
You are so far off my friend. It's as if you read nothing I wrote or read without comprehension. You just kept saying new age and I must have read some books. Try to actually follow what I'm saying:
My belief in God is a given. The fact that everything happens within the will of God is a given. The issue here is not God but our human potential and how we are wasting it. God has made us gods, made us very powerful. Only catch is that the power is not automatic. We have to be aware we have that power and be willing to do the hard work of using it. It is much easier to believe we are powerless and everything is up to God and circumstances. but that's NOT how God meant us to be!

Sometimes u looked at these mens teaching and realise they deviate from God's teaching yet they perform miracles
Again, they don't perform any miracles. Rather, they take advantage of the fact of what God said which is that He pours out His mercy/Favor on even the wicked and the ungrateful daily. Just think about what that means and you begin to understand how many of them can make it seem that these miracles are performed by their person when in fact they are not. lipsrsealed

I know it's only a matter of time before you will use the bolded, I just didn't want to say it. Where you are right now, I was. It's the mainstream of Christianity currently. I know why I'm saying new-age because, they are similar to modern Christianity. And just now you've gone back to using man-centered terms. Historic Christianity had no such language to what you're saying.
And no one is saying anything about being powerless, No one ever said Christians are or should be powerless. No one said you should leave things to circumstances. God commands us to Pray without ceasing and ask Him anything in prayers, why is it hard for you to understand?

But if you want to keep consuming modern mainstream Christian message while being ignorant, it's left to you.

Friend it is not a question of where you were or where you are. It is a question of what is TRUE. A question of how our reality works. From placebo effect to teachings of Lord Jesus, it has been demonstrated that our BELIEF can work wonders. God made it so, and made it a condition of granting our prayers. If you pray without faith the prayer will NOT be granted.
It is not a question of where you were, it is how things work in our reality. It is how God set it up!

you are totally right on ur last. Message

U don't need to be holy to receive grace, u dont need to have God for u to succeed

But dont forget my concern is on how prophet persons like 10 miracles every Sunday, that cant be coincidence bro if u reason well, its either u use the power of God or u have gotten another sources or those miracles are arranged

There is no way two ways abt it, it must be among those e options

If you are speaking of those who claim instant miracles, then I suggest you look up what the other said of actors playing a role. Again, the power of God of Israel is not involved in any of that. undecided

the first message in ur last paragraph explains it all, and it somehow directly come back to my question, it's either u are completely righteous with God for u to perform miracles

Or u have other sources

Or those things are arranged

To me i think it must be totally fall into these categories

There is an interesting hypothesis I have regarding "other sources". It is equally linked to that which is in Scripture but I will maybe leave that for another issue. undecided
