1.Ghusl (ritual bath): It is recommended to perform Ghusl on Friday before attending the Jumu'ah prayer. This practice is supported by the Hadith narrated by Abu Huraira, in which the Prophet Muhammad (peace be upon him) said, "If any one of you takes a bath on Friday, purifies himself as much as he can, oils his hair, applies as much scent as he can, and puts on his best clothes, then goes to the Jumu'ah prayer and sits close to the Imam and listens to him attentively, Allah will give him the full reward of fasting for one year for every step that he takes towards the mosque."

2.Reciting Surah Al-Kahf: It is recommended to recite Surah Al-Kahf on Friday. The Prophet Muhammad (peace be upon him) said, "Whoever reads Surah Al-Kahf on the day of Jumu'ah, will have a light that will shine from him from one Friday to the next."

3.Going early to the Jumu'ah prayer: The Prophet Muhammad (peace be upon him) encouraged Muslims to go early to the Jumu'ah prayer. It is narrated in Sahih Bukhari that the Prophet said, "On the day of Jumu'ah, the angels stand at the entrance of that Masjid in which Jumu'ah prayer is to be offered. They write the name of the person who enters the mosque first, and thereafter the name of the person who follows, and they continue doing this. The person who entered first will receive the reward of sacrificing a camel in the way of Allah; the one who followed him will get the reward of sacrificing a cow, thereafter a chicken, thereafter the reward of giving an egg as charity in the path of Allah. Once the Imam sits (on the pulpit) they fold up their sheets and listen to the mention (of Allah)."

4.Sending abundant blessings upon the Prophet: It is recommended to send blessings upon the Prophet Muhammad (peace be upon him) on Friday. The Prophet said, "The best day on which the sun has risen is Friday; on it Adam was created, on it he was made to enter Paradise, and on it, he was expelled from it. The Hour will not be established except on Friday."

5.Offering voluntary prayers: It is recommended to offer voluntary prayers on Friday. The Prophet Muhammad (peace be upon him) said, "Among the best of your days is Friday. So, pray to Allah frequently on it to bless me, for such supplications of you will be presented to me."
