Wait o. The plant refines 650,000 barrels per day and it just recieved 6 millions barrels from NNPC. This is a 10 day stock after which the 6 million barrels would have been exhausted. There is no mention of continuous supply of crude for continuous refining beyond the 6 million delivered. Will crude oil refining then stop after 10 days like the Port Harcour Refinery debacle?

Exactly my point, it is a type of kerosene and not kerosene intoto cool you can pour it into your stove at home and light a match if you want some practical information on it as well wink

Congratulations on the added knowledge you acquired this afternoon kiss you needed it.

If you want to you can use it for cooking but it’s too expensive to be used for that. Which added knowledge exactly 🤔

Congratulations to Nigeria and let's hope that this will reduce FX pressure and help naira appreciate significantly against the dollar and reduce pump price of PMS, AGO and ATK

Thinking FX pressure will come down or Naira will appreciate is a fallacy when FG itself peg exchange rate $1-#800 in 2024 budget

All local refineries only produce diesel and APK. Why?

They need a catalytic cracker to further process petroleum naphtha into PMS and petroleum gases.

The smallest capacity fluid catalytic cracker refinery handles 50,000 barrels/day while modular refineries manage between 1,000 to 25,000 barrels/day.

You appear to know too much about this, do you work for Dangote refinery?

In addition, the refinery can load 2,900 trucks a day at its truck-loading gantries

Massive employment opportunities they should link it with train

Why are all of them avoiding PMS?

Even the greenfield refinery in Imo State also said they are starting with Diesel (AGO)
.
Diesel is fully deregulated so they can set price and sell for who they like as they like

DPK would bring loss to them. Haven't you noticed that even fueling stations no longer sell DPK. PMS and AGO would be much better for the common man.

@ topic.
Joyous news. However, we would be ecstatic if the price of the fuel is sold below N300.

Sold what below 300😅😅

I am sure but there is no need to ask the witness, when the person with the original testimony is alive and well. Ask the guy and cc me.

Exactly my point. I myself have never driven or own a tanker/trailer, I have never had cause to enter a train to anywhere before neither have I bought, own or run a diesel powered generator.

So I ask again, how would it benefit the common man on the streets? undecided

Don't u think if there is reduction in the price of diesel cost of production will reduce, cost of transportation of food items will reduce and dis will have a direct impact on cost of goods and food items.

If there isn't any significant drop in the price of fuel from dangote refinery, then it's of no use to the common man.

I can't be buying fuel at N650 per liter and have dangote selling his own at N610 or N620. What's the difference between the subsidized rate and the refinery rate?

If he's selling below or above N300 per liter it would be a great relief for everyone.

Under fractional distillation, petroleum comes before diesel, so what are they trying to tell us or are they using reverse distillation?
It seems this elites has really gang up against the poor masses.
