You can't give what you don't have.
Solving kidnapping requires intelligence. We have dumb people incharge of security in this country.

Dumb leaders too!

Lagos State is a small and fully-built-up city. You cannot kidnap someone and run into a forest because there's no forest anywhere in Lagos... except you leave the state or go towards Epe.

You cannot even rob a bank and successfully run away because you will be caught up in a traffic gridlock. Those who successfully robbed banks in Lagos in 2015 escaped only through the waterways.

High-level organised crimes and kidnap don't happen in Lagos due those cogent reasons. It has nothing to do with street boys aka agbero because those ones are not even any different from criminals.

Cogestion & gridlock is a valid point but that does not undermine the street boys/agbero influence

Police are not super humans or magicians, sometimes when a crime happen in an environment in Lagos its those areas boy/ agbero that police sort information from to gather intelligence

Before any arm robber will go n robb in oshodi or idumota he will say his last prayer ... cos Men full ground, area boyz sef get guns they are ready to take laws into there hands without waiting for police

Areas boys/agbero are menace to the society but a bad child has his own good day

Nin won’t do anything, bvn is even better ,if digital notes can be produced,it will help Nigeria, notes that can be tracked so when the ransom is delivered to the kidnappers, you can track them anywhere once the cash is on them and I can tell you ,kidnapping will end

It's a family matter , SW and SE should not get involve. They will settle it among themselves. Those Northerners call for it themselves.

Two things.one we should revist the strict cashless policy.we should not throw away the bathwater with the baby.Empirical evidence showed drastic reduction of banditry and kidnapping while the policy persisted.Nigerians were getting used to it before the scrapping. Two what happens to use of drones and helicopter to track these people.it beats my imagination hollow that we can spend billions on SUVs without budgeting for drones and helicopters to tackle this challenge

This episode is a creation of politicians from the north. How can these kind of things fester in this same region if not the brotherly language of brotherliness giving to these elements? Politics of ethnicity, bitterness and hate towards another person from another tribe have finally death with us as a nation.

Scary situation.

Obviously the security personnel's are overwhelmed by the situation.

The government in place should as a matter of urgency, rejig the security apparatus.

Nigeria is gradually becoming a failed state with the kind of news coming out from it.

Gradually becoming?!! Are you asleep or away from this nation?!!

This nation has been a failed state for a while now.

Everything begins and ends in Lagos for narrow-minded people like you.

Let me give you a reality check!

The only reason Lagos has not been overrun like Abuja and other parts of this dying contraption is that terrorists never get una time.

Terrorism that started in Borno has now overrun the entire North and parts of the South, all in less than a decade... Just imagine what would happen if nothing drastic is done.

I keep telling you people that an injury to one is an injury to all...

If oil stains one finger, it doesn't take rocket science to know that the entire hand will become oily if that finger is not immediately washed.

Open your eyes to reality!

Had Buhari curtailed these monsters and deal decisively with them, it wouldn't have become worse like this. He was pampering boko-haram and renamed them bandits. A whole General that cannot bring bring bandits and kidnappers to their knees, I'm ashamed of him. Tinubu is also facing the same challenge and things are getting out of control. Can't these leaders think out of the box and come up with good intelligence and highly effective security measures to tame these monsters. I'm beginning to think our government is insensitive, insincere and highly culpable in the dwindling security situation in the country. What's the usefulness of the NSA, COAS, CDS and IGP if they cannot put an end to this rubbish?

This requires national emergency. It's getting out of hands.

I suggest government should go for Sheikh Gumi who has not been happy with the adminstration for not negotiating with the bandits and amnesty programme. He is a strong suspect.

Communities should identity those in their amidst and what they do for a living. Report strange characters to relevant agencies.

The Borders should be closely monitored. Those committing these crimes may not be Nigerians. They are foreigners who speak Fulani. They are from neighbouring countries.

These bandits when caught, should be interrogated and thereafter executed. No need for legal precesses.

This is happening in Abuja, the capital.

How do these misleaders sleep at night?

You asked a right question, but if they cant sleep at night, they will not be buying cars for themselves worth millions of naira, buying yatch for vacation on the sea, allocating money for house renovation and building library they will not use and construction of car park, anyone who couldn't sleep at night cant be thinking on all these.

This is one of the core reasons why you see people spending millions of naira to Japa. It's not because they are under the illusion that there is enjoyment abroad. It's simply to avoid having these kind of experiences.

A colleague was robbed and shot somewhere in Ojota about 5 months ago. There was no emergency response till he died. Despite the fact that police was able to intercept the car the following morning in Ibadan, they are yet to have closure on the case. If only he had listened to advice to join his family in America.

Nigeria has no value for life and that is why you don't see any significant progression in the right direction

This is extremely sad. The amount of people that we lose in Nigeria is scary. May God comfort the family of the deceased.
