Abuja is the capital city of Nigeria, in the middle of the country.

Due to the rising insecurity, kidnapping, and incessant attacks on residents in Abuja by bandits, The Federal Capital Territory (FCT) Commissioner for Public Complaint Dalhatu Ezekiel has asked the Federal Government to prioritize the the area’s security situation and immediately declare a state of emergency.

Dalhatu was speaking on Monday at a press briefing organized to address the insecurity in the FCT.

He also called on the FCT Minister Nyesom Wike to suspend all projects currently ongoing if need be to address this pertinent issue that involves the lives of FCT residents.

This is as he called for the setting up of a civilian joint task force as an alternative means of combating insecurity in rural areas.

Wike is unnecessarily busy with Fubara while the FCT has turned to a renewed camp for kidnappers. Wike is not fit to be in that position, therefore, he should be sacked!!

He should be replaced with the national security adviser; Nuhu Ribadu or any other serious person...

Tinubu should ask wike to step aside and concentrate on his fight with fubara.

We have been saying that security is bad in Nigeria but we were taken for granted.
Now that Abuja is involved, you are calling for state of emergency only in Abuja,not a national state of emergency on security? Selfish people!
People were killed in plateau, Kaduna, Katsina,Kogi,Ondo,IMO,Zamfara,Taraba,Bauchi,Gombe, etc but government was cool with that! As it's touching the elite's territory, you suddenly remember state of emergency?

They never likes Wike as the FCT minister and they are doing everything possible to get him sacked, by creating a sense of insecurity.
In Kaduna,El-Rufai superintended over the massacre of Christians in southern Kaduna, to the point that he told the world that they paid the bandits! They are known bandits. Asks shiek Gumi.
Go to Zamfara and Katsina,banditry and kidnapping is a big Business. They have built an economy around it. Same with other Northern state.

Thirdly, the Insecurity been sponsored in Abuja is targeted at Wike,for him to be sacked!
He's the first Christian FCT minister since,1999 and the northeners don't like that. They sees the sit as their birthright.
If you remember, Israelis were to be hired to fixed insecurity but the northeners and Muslims protest against it. Let them enjoy the insecurity.,sadly everyone is involved now!
The remedy is simple. Declare aerial bombing of all bandits enclaves in Nigeria. Invites and arrest Gumi for questioning. There's something he knows about the issues of banditry, that the government is not aware of.
Allow community policing,that will give the governors to deal with insecurity in their communities.
Declare a shoot at sight on anyone with Ak-47. The person is either a kidnapper, bandit etc.
The banking sector most be sanitized, they aid or abates in tackling insecurity.

Nigeria is in agony

The Bwari area council that's affected by the insurgents is sharing boundaries with Kaduna South. And the criminals that destroyed Kaduna and killed lots of people will soon capture that area of Abuja.


Whether we like it or not. Abuja will gradually become a den for petty criminals as our senior criminals are enjoying Maitama and Asokoro, kidnappers will be enjoying the outskirt of Abuja.

President Tinubu needs to call for national conference, Nigeria is at war right now. Nigeria has already fallen, let's manage the chaos and use this opportunity to do what the nations in Nigeria want. Any region that still wants Nigeria must give up its rights and always yield to the ones we will beg to stay and if we all decide to go, great. The people been killed are more than people dying in full blown wars.

I would prefer a state of emergency be decleared in the entire nation, Abuja is not the only one affected here, but the govt. Would rather pay a blind eye to it.

This Wike seems to be a problem to many people. Why only FCT? Kidnapping is an organised crime that is ravaging many parts of the country. But come to think of it, who will then take over? The headquarters of every security network is in Abuja besides other special brigades. Let's just ask all in power to sit up
