It will never end. From the beginning of time this has been our nature. Most of the tribes in southern NIgeria and the middle belt are Igbos who never went back home.
lol
Look at lienus.
You didnt travel until you knew SW.
Read your history.
You were mostly forcefully taken as slaves, labourers etc by people like the Ijaws,Binis etc.
In the olden days, the main travellers were the Yoruba,Bini,Hausa,Nupe and so on.
It was after the war that Igbos began to travel massively and became more industrious especially indulging in petty trading.

The only truth in her statement is that Igbo should go into production more rather than just importing.
Production will keep the youths employed and less likely to leave the region.
But before production can happen, the insecurity in South east (sometimes caused by forced sit at home) must end first.
That is why Nnamdi Kanu needs to be freed so that we know who is really behind the forced sit at homes.

They will come back to be buried when they die. As if that's all Alaigbo is useful for. A cemetery

If everyone runs away from the East, who will develop it?
Compare remote areas in Yorubaland, North and Igboland then tell me sincerely which is more developed.

How come out of the major tribes in the country, you are the only ones without an history of achieving conquest, civilisation or any empire built. Nothing.

Today now, you are still the same people seeing gutters as achievements.

When you're ready, I can give you a list of Yoruba rulers with Igbo tribal marks, and show you the worship of Igbo in Ifa. Udo

I was in My maternal home in Imo state this past Christmas and the kind of houses I saw in the villages are the types you see in Banana Island and New York city .

Where this Igbos guys dey see money ?

Even here in Lagos, you have to be a politician close relative to build the kind of houses I saw in villages of Igbo state .

The Igbos are indeed blessed people.

Where dem dey see money? A quick perusal of the list of prisoners in South East Asia may give a clue to that.

Be truthful. You are the most displaced tribe in Africa and even the Fulani don't roam as much as you do. Why can't you stay at home?

Go and ask your kinsmen in Igboland who are salivating and throwing festivals in celebration of gutter.

At least, your kinsmen have opened a dozen threads here, celebrating gutter.
They're celebrating the ongoing road construction as a sign of relief when completed not just gutter. I know you are talking about Aba.

A group, Igbo Women Assembly, IWA, has raised the alarm that the South-East region is recording mass exodus of Igbos to other parts of the country and overseas.

It is important that this woman's concerns are taken seriously because when Biafra is eventually actualised, the path to easy migration to what is left of Nigeria will no longer be as smooth, easy or quick.

The same stringent Visa requirements imposed on Nigerians by foreign western countries might be copied by Nigeria and you shouldn't be surprised to see a massive queue of people in The Nigerian High Commission in Enugu (or wherever the Biafra capital would be located).

Ndigbo domination of markets like Alaba and Ladipo would likely be a thing of the past as no nation would be comfortable, for security reasons, allowing indigines of another country to occupy and administer their markets.

Treatment of undocumented Ndigbo migrants in what is left of Nigeria might rival that of Asian countries.

Ndigbo might want to pay attention to the unspoken words behind what this lady has said and push for Biafra being actualised on good, friendly terms with Nigeria.

The rabid bitterness in the "we must leave because Peter Obi lost" mantra will not be favourable in any shape or form to Ndigbo.

A word as they say is more than enough for the wise.

Because conquest and empires are nothing but the stealing of other people's lands through war. Why would they indulge in such?

It is not pls.

You just compared Abuja ( constitutionally viewed as a state) and Rivers also a state and Ogun also a state to the entire South East.
How do you guys think when you argue?

this woman is out of touch, the last time i travelled to the east it is one of the most densely populated area in NIGERIA MEANING it is home to over 50percent of igbo people, igbo language will still be spoken in the next 200 years forget talk.

I find people that make these kind of statements as not being able to analyse issues properly and adequately! They just hear others mindlessly shouting over a issue and they join without a proper appreciation of the issue at hand! Right from the end of the uncivil war till now, the structure of the Nigerian political-economy has meant Ndigbo are forced to travel out of the country or to the 'favoured regions' to get jobs or transact affairs not available in their own region! That's what the silly woman should be addressing and not making half analysis that give Igbo-haters the ammunition they're looking for to drive their anti-Igbo narrative!

The little and modest effort Dr Otti is making in Abia state is ensuring Aba has sprung back to life! The city is heaving with economic activity as we speak!
