Fashola should carry his coat and tie and face Igbosere High Court. He's avoiding the real issue.

The real issue is Pantami's historical support for terrorists like Al Qaeda and the Taliban.

In one of his sermons in the 2000s, Pantami had prayed, saying, “This jihad is an obligation for every single believer, especially in Nigeria… Oh God, give victory to the Taliban and to al-Qaeda (Allahumma’ nṣur Ṭālibān wa-tanẓīm al Qā‘ida).

Also, in a 2019 academic document ‘Debating Boko Haram,’ Pantami had invited muslims, especially “Ahlus Sunna” (Salafis), to be sceptical of politicians and religious leaders calling for peace and understanding but they should retaliate with Jihad.

This same fellow that his ministry almost shut down at the tail end of the administration due to his looting of the accounts, not until orders came for accounts to be frozen. Staff received their salaries late as no money to pay.

Pantami is one of the reasons why the government cannot be trusted due to the fact that he comes from a terrorist sympathisers background which equates to an enemy within the government. All he stood for and still stands for defies common sense. Is he not the fellow crowdfunding for ransom money?

Did Pantami actually meant well and represent the opposite of what the media outcries projected him to be.

The man was greatly accused back then.

To live long you have to ignore, the too ignorant to win group making noise on social media.

Unknown to this group beautiful pictures and flowery words can't take you further than likes and shares. One of my work colleagues back in the old consulting days held this ministry under a past administration. She was and is whip smart but she made no headway. You need drive, energy and hard headedness in Nigeria to make way. You have to be able to laugh at your critics while working day and night. This guy has it in spades and he was able to get better results than my brilliant and more eloquent friend.

Nigerians hate people for no reason first and then they find a reason second. They cover their thin arguments with fluff. Scratch it, and simplistic arguments like current fx rate and price of garri and rice will start popping up. That's why I call that group " Too ignorant to win"

What Fashola was talking about was Pantami's attention to detail which is noteworthy.

Unfortunately, to show how people are human and not always objective, his attention to detail and insistence on due process didn't stop him from accepting an obviously flawed Professorship from FUTO.

However there is no doubt that he made an impact in his sector and was one of the shining lights of the Buhari administration.
