but did the referee ask them to conceed that late goal ?

Mali have themselves to blame

They had everything going in their favour

If I didn't know any better, I would have thought Mali were the team with the red card

Their control of the midfield was non-existent

These Malians are sore losers.
Imagine playing with an extra man for almost 80mins of game time and still couldn't do anything with it.
Now they are trying to fight the referee like he is the one responsible for their misfortunes.
Those players deserve to be banned till eternity.
What do you expect when they share the same name with Naira Mali? grin

Qualifying as best loser
Eliminating defending champions
Facing a penalty in the first 15mins against Mali
Coming from Behind against Mali
Playing with a one man down
Forcing an extra time and winning at the death

Ivory coast must not win this AFCON

COOOOOOZ MEEEEEEEEEEHN. E GO PAIN ME..

Lucky?

They won Guinea Bissau and lost a keenly contested match against Nigeria who only survived via a penalty.

They had 3 shots on target in that match, while Nigeria had just one.

Came back against Mali with 10 men.

Still their qualifications from the group was tied to what Morocco played abi?

Is that not luck?
Was it in their hands at that stage?

That's the game

If you don't take your chances, you have yourself to blame.

This is probably the best game in Afcon this decade

I doubt anyone can name a more entertaining game than this

I don't think Ivory coast will win Afcon, might not even win semi final. The two red flag will affect them. Moreover they have played two 120 minutes football. This will take toll on them soon.

Mali committed suicide in this match, a case of self destruct

I can’t blame them, inexperience cost them everything, they were comfortably playing, no eagerness, no goal hunger

Being a coach has a lot to do with motivation

How can you explain losing to 10 men on an important match, unacceptable

Mail failed to take advantage of the extra 1 man. They lost focus too easily..... Very painful way to lose.
It's very difficult and doesn't make much difference for the other team, if the opponent is one man less. Mali had their chances in the first half, but they failed to use it. Worse still, the coach killed the game doing those subs after their goal.

Finished how? You people seem to forget that these people make their money playing in Europe. Many of them especially the ones from poorer countries actually play for free for their national teams..

There could even be repercussion for his action at his club.

We gats blame them

Other than Nene's goal, they had no control of the midfield and created zero clear cut chances in the second half.

Their best chance came in extra time with the low cross that nearly became an own goal.

No idea why they are fighting the referee. The referee gave them everything to win. It wasn't like the ref was biased against them. The Malian FA should be fined for that behavior.

The same way they pushed the cup to Cameroon last AFCON Abi?

We are currently waiting for the outcome of South Africa vs Cape verde. This would determine whom Nigeria will play next on wednesday.
I would want Cape verde to beat South Africa because those South Africans are confirmed Racist.

you kids would just wake up and be insulting your fathers for no reason. Do you know how much Okocha lost to this country's useless banks before Soludo Recapitalized the Banks? If it were you; you would have long denounced this cursed country. Keep voting useless people and expect some people to dash you their hard earned money. As for KANU; what he has done with his heart foundation, not even the FG does that

Surely there would have been many games as interesting or more than this, but I know many of the matches in Nigeria/Ghana 2000 were very very very interesting especially our match against cameroon
