Don't ask ridiculous questions. Many I know left this country on scholarship. Just because you know none doesn't make it a topic for debate

True scholarships exist but it doesn't change the fact that some civil servants steal from government

She is talking rubbish. How much does she think level 16 and 17 civil servants are earning especially in Rivers, Lagos and federal?

Senior Civil servants in NNPC and some others will conveniently send their children abroad to school

State civil servants can't afford to send their kids abroad especially to countries like U.K, U.S, Canada....

Even federal...only those in parastatals can and they must be senior officials there like that NNPC You mentioned

Please, in Barbados I met Nigerian students paying as high as $25000 per semester for some degree programs.

A civil servant paying N37m per semester for a school abroad must be a very big thief.

Thank you

There are some high paying govt jobs. Let's not generalize for all. Though applicable to most.

See no matter how high it is, the person go think am well....it's not that easy bro.

Look at exchange rate for example...you annual salary don finish even as oga if you wan pay school fees alone

This isn't totally correct

It depends on how that child got there.

Scholarship?

She used the word 'send a child abroad' as in pay to send a child there.... scholarship has no business in the context of her speech

It is not true

Many of them are earning over a million monthly legitimately

How much is a million...check exchange rate for school fees...

Top management guyz earn like 45-70m-100m a year.... dependent on allowances and all...

You wan pay school fees of 25k pounds...living expenses like 15k....amongst others....you don dey spend like 45k pounds on one child....that's more than your annual salary

Civil servants are allowed to venture into agriculture while practicing as civil servant. There are some civil servants with viable farmlands that ventured in agriculture involving rearing chicken, goats, rabits etc and caah crops in the past and have used the proceeds from their farm to send their children

Those ones are like 5% of the people from the people she's referring to

Many pastors have businesses they run....

I don't know of a single government scholarship that takes people abroad.

but ptdf scholarship can't be rigged. They contact beneficiaries from the university data.

yes. The schools submit data on the basis of best students. They usually expect the beneficiaries to return to Nigeria after the program and serve the country for three to 5 years or return the money spent on them if they don't want to.

You can actually apply to PTDF without school submitting your data and you don't have to be a best student.

Guess you were referring to how it was being done in time past.

There's even an ongoing application as we speak
