Last saw him at Beautiful Nubia's Emufest concert last december where he performed Tunji Oyelana's 'Eniyan bi Apaaro'.

In the midst of so many young ones, he sang and danced passionately, one could tell he was reminiscing the old days.

Never knew that was the last time I would be seeing him.

RIP to the legend.

Story Land .. so this man was still alive till now? I really enjoyed his stories growing up

One of his stories I liked then was Dodo. I've tried looking up his videos on YouTube to no avail. I miss those good old days.

This guy made me appreciate arts especially in storyland. He fuses humor and seriousness when stressing climax scenes in his stories.

He should be 81 because he celebrated 80th birthday last year @ Cultural Center in Abeokuta. Prior before his birthday, he was honored and recognized at Abeokuta Sports Club by the members of this noble club

I was watching TV a few days ago when the thought dropped in my mind that Baba Jimi would soon be going, and that it would be in the news. He has left an indelible mark on a lot of people. He would surely be missed. Rest in Peace Baba

He sang, he told stories, he acted on TV, he acted on stage, he wrote and recited poems, there was nothing that he couldn't do.

He had a children's show on Saturdays on LTV 8 in the 1980s and he had another children's show on the NTA in the 1990s (I think it was called Storyland). He told stories to children on both programmes.

Here he is singing Tunji Oyelana's classic song Mo Lo S'Oko at the Wole Soyinka Theatre.
