Observations from the Match:

1. Osimhen will make a good coach in the future; when Troost-Ekong is to take the first penalty during the 90mins, the South African goal keeper coach gave sign language to Rondon Williams (SA goalkeeper) to dive left, and it was spotted by Osimhen who went to Troost-Ekong and whisper to him not to go left with his kick

2. Nigeria's Portuguese goalkeeper coach handed a paper to Nwabili containing which side the SA penalty takers will go to, judging from the analysis done on them from their penalty kicks with Cape Verde.

3. I knew NG would win SA once it got to penalty kicks as we have their records against CV and they do not have ours, except for perhaps, Troost-Ekong and Osimhen

4. Paseiro introduced our best penalty takers just before 120mins, tactical wizards - Omeruo, Iheanacho, Moffi,

5. The only person I expected to have missed his own penalty kick was Troost-Ekong as he has taken quite a few kicks in this tournament and not Aina.

6. The World Cup qualifying match with SA will be bloody. Paseiro needs to look for midfielders to reinforce his team

Where's the autosave gloves of your goalkeeper?. Couldn't stop those wrecking shots from the back of the net. The strategy of the Bafana was to take it down to penalty shootout but end of the day, the overhyped dude was exposed, couldn't save a single shot.

Dude should have reserved some of his saves against Cape Verde for this match. grin

Truth be told no team has played the eagle the way south Africa played us yesterday but luck stood with us till the end of the game even when referee and var try to work against us, but luck still supercede them ,congrats again you guys almost make me dye and resurrect again

This was a Lucky win. Nigeria with its European based team couldn't even score within 120 minutes . Penalties are like the lottery.....nothing humbling there. And how about vision 2024: let our citizens stop flooding our enemy countries?

Revival of Team Spirit. Many did not think we will make it this far.

But this Bafana bafana team will be a thorn in our World Cup qualifiers because the crop of this south African team play for Mamelodi sundowns who are currently unbeaten in their league except for Percy tau who is a former sundowns and plays for Al ahly FC. The fact that they played so well is because they have been together for long and they are used to each other. Out of the 11 players, 9 mamelodi sundown were up against us which is good tactics by the coach.

Honestly,, they are African version of Spain national team … Our coach needs to add more qualities to our team and map out another strategy to deal with them …

If Riwanda can beat them ,,, we can do more better in a fashionable way like yesterday ✌🏽
