Nigerians should begin to learn that elections have consequences. You can't vote a Tinubu and expect anything different from what you are getting now. You voted a Buhari and got a Buhari style of leadership which integrated backwardness, ethno-religious retrogression. You voted the leader of the gang and you will get a Treasury looted massively.
So everyone should endure the consequences of his votes in the last election

Yeah, PDP looted the country, but small small. PDP looted but kept pounds 250 for 16 years, they looted but dollar remained relatively steady from 80 to 140. It was during the normal election period politicians play around with fx it went to 180-200 of which it would have reversed.
Do you know just before this apc desaster came in, I went to Metropolitan motors an authorized Toyota dealership in Lagos to purchase Toyota hiace bus, it was 5.5m for the automatic transmission model, the base one was about 4.8m. Today, if you do not have 50-60m breathing in your pocket, near their gate it is koboko they will wipe you with.
Agreed PDP stole but with fear of God, they entered the bank and robbed the cashier and left but apc looted and still carried the whole bank away, no checks etc, as revealed recently the impunity reached the level people now pay government money into personal accounts with full chest!
They loot uncontrolled and with impunity to the level serving ministers and government officials including a sitting cbn governor openly paid 100m each to buy nomination forms!
Oga, please I prefer the looting and economy of that time compared to the looting of now.

Everyone in government and just a few outside of it understand that the case with Nigeria currently, is a hopeless one and they are working their best to loot as much as they can before the final collapse.

The signs and body language are there for the discerning to take a cue from.

They've run it aground and have no way of wriggling out of the quagmire.

I believe the FG should be up and doing. If we say everyone should make sacrifices for the betterment of the country, the government should match their words with actions. Not like say one thing and do the opposite.
This is not the time to be budgeting scarce resources for irrelevance.
It's the height of financial recklessness to budget even a 100m just for a committee to deliberate on a matter. The money is supposed to be for what exactly?
This is why the people find it difficult to trust the government when they try to sell hope to the masses, because we all can see the level of unnecessary wastage going on at the top and how the supposed leaders appropriate huge amounts of resources to themselves while telling the people that voted for them to be patient with the hardships. Everyone should be on the same boat. If there's anything, this is the right time for all our elected officers to show their love for the country they claim to serve by placing themselves on the regular civil service salary scale.
If we want to save money by removing subsidy, this is the right time to stop the bogus allowances at the top.
In Nigeria of today, no one has business earning more than 20 million naira annually (with bonuses and allowances) working for the government, elected or not. Getting it right must start by making our elective positions as unattractive as possible so that only people with genuine interest in serving the people will participate.
