Ghana however scored in the 1- 1 draw in Abuja, a vital away goal which got them the qualification slot which left the Nigerian supporters heart broken.
The table has changed with the recent AFCON. Ghana could not qualify from their group which ensures an early exit for the Black Stars. Nigeria Super Eagles have continued to wax stronger with each game and are hoping to win their fourth AFCON title in Abidjan on Sunday night.
