I been saying this. I never understand why in Lagos, they cut down beautiful trees to build houses and surround the house with all concrete. It’s the silliest shxt and it’s ugly. I like to have greenery around me, it’s calming looking out at trees and it makes the environment cooler and air freshener. The attitude here is only the rich in Ikoyi, banana island deserve trees in their surroundings. So weird. |

Oceanfl0w:number 1 is d major cause in urban regions like lagos... There is a phenomenon called "urban heat island" buildings and infrastructure traps heat in the day time and releases it in d Night.... In lagos u feel heat even when the sun isn't out... Most lagosians are already used to it... But if you are new in lagos, you'll knw dat d temperature isn't normal... It's due to overpopulation and infrastructure 1 Like |

has nothing to do with overpopulation since that has always been there for years nows. This is due to transitioning of the dry cool air of the harmattan without the usual cool winds but now just hot humid air. 1 Like

You are right, local government and state governments should create green areas, plant trees. Fashola was planting trees as governor, but clueless people were laughing, they don't know trees is directly linked to their health and long life. We need conservation centers in city centres, parks where lots of trees and flora is conserved, for cool clean air. Trees inhale carbon monoxide and exhale oxygen! 1 Like |
