Everyone knows that Nigeria’s official data is often manipulated for political reasons. That’s why the numbers they churn out often fly in the face of reality. However, the current hunger crises has exposed the true wealth, GDP per capita or purchasing power of different regions in Nigeria. I will explain:

During times of economic crisis, those at the lowest level on food chain or income generation, are always hit first. They will suffer terribly because they have very few means or opportunities to help themselves. This is unlike those who are relatively well off. They have more assets and physical cash to sustain themselves and push back on their doomsday. In fact, before they eventually start feeling serious pangs of hunger, then be rest assured that those who were much poorer are dying or dead already.

The news coming out from North and South west over the past few weeks has become quite disturbing. People crying of severe hunger or others falling on the streets have become quite common. However, it’s interesting to note that South East and South South tend to be immune from all these. It’s not pretense because one can’t pretend about hunger. Rather it shows that these two regions are the most comfortable and has the highest standards of living in Nigeria.

Hunger is what drives people to flee from their region to come and sell gala in the traffic in the richest region in the country.

Secondly,SW has always been the region that attacks the govt anytime things are going awry because they are the voice of Nigerians.
They say it as it is not minding if the president is from their region or not.
Moreover, the SE is a massive IDP camp.

On the contrary sir, the south west is a melting pot where Nigerians from all walks meet to better their lot economically.

That the protests is happening in the south west is a reflection that Nigeria as a collective entity is in a dire straight.

All available indices before this time has always portrayed the north as backward in human capital development. So, there is no surprise when demonstrations erupt from that region.

Also, some cultural factors which abhors begging and sees it as akin to sacrilege may have subdued the South East and South South regions from joining the gale of hunger demonstration sweeping across the country. There have been calls from traditional institutions in the south east for her people not to join in the hunger demonstrations of late.

Nothing subdued anybody but the usual norms.
The richest region in Nigeria had always been the SW because this is where we have the most educated, exposed and richest people in Nigeria.
SW has always been the heart of Nigeria.
Even the Whites shifted the capital of Nigeria 2 times until they stopped in the SW.
Nigeria started sinking seriously when the capital was shifted to Abuja.
A political division which has its spiritual negative consequences.
The Northerners might in the long run see the division they don't want.
They brought Nigeria to this sorry state with let our people be there when they are bereft of the ideas of what they are actually doing there.
They end up ripping off everything thinking that Nigeria is rich and will always be rich.
They destroy but do not know how to build.
70% of the corrupt people in govt are Hausa/Fulani.

How do you now explain the attached ?

I am yet to see a single mother or father hunger cracked their head mercilessly like this mothers from the SE to an extent they picked up sons they gave birth to after 9 months n intense labour to sell just to eat.

How does your purchasing power theory explain this ?! This is truly sad I swear, i cant but weep for the children knowing one's mother can be foolish heartless n cursed beyond all measure to sell her own children to eat. What a wicked world we live in.

Lol, again you’ve exposed your ignorance. SW is not synonymous to Lagos. The average gala seller in Lagos traffic most likely makes more money than a lot of white collar or blue collar workers, not to talk of those that would rather stay idle and be crying ebin pa wa o. The average Igboman knows how to build wealth from the scratch. They believe in marginal profit while using volume sales to breakthrough. Many of those that sold gala sometimes in the past have become wholesalers or even importers today!

Take a look at the average south west city, town or village then make a comparison with SE or SS cities, towns or villages. The evidence of wealth distribution across board relative to SW will be very clear.

Meanwhile, there are far more IDP camps in the SW than SE.

lol you guys and your delusion is legendary.

—Tinubu is Yoruba, so automatically, the negative press will be on the Yoruba. That has always been the trend of our politics.

Thats exactly why Fulani got abused all through Buhari tenure.

—Yoruba are different breed. Even with the fact that Tinubu is our son, people will still protest because that activism is normal for Yoruba people. It is normal thing.

Now this is the thing. So if Peter Obi got elected, removed subsidy and things get costly, OP are you saying it mean Igbo will never voice out and protest against his government? So if you vote a politician and things go bad, then no need to protest?

So you’re telling me because a protest is happening in Ibadan by 20 people, then it automatically mean people in Ebonyi or Borno is richer and living well than people in Ibadan?

You don’t know what you are saying.

Below is the list of IDP camps and the numbers. You can see clearly that there are far too much IDPs in the SE than SW.

Ebonyi alone is the worst in the whole Southern Nigeria.

lol
Talk is cheap.
Igbos are not only in Lagos but in most SW states begging for alms or selling chewing sticks, bra or gala in SW traffic.
As for cities, the only fairly good place in the SE is the 52sq km Onitsha which has been halved into 26sq km by Okpoko slum.
Only Ibadan city which is 3080 sq km is more developed than the entire SE Igboland states combined.
If you mistakenly see any IDP camp in the SW,it will be housing fleeing Igbos who fled from SE because of poverty.
According to Dave Umahi,11 million Igbos have fled Igboland because of poverty to the rich SW where some of them beg from their rich SW hosts.

I can post more than 20 good places or locations from Ibadan which has more than 11 GRAs but I have asked and dare any Igbo to post just 6 good places from the entire 5 SE states but you cowards and liars have not been able to (the only place Igbos boast with is the tiny Onitsha and a couple of 3 sq km villages grin ).
Funny poor people.
Yorubas have the highest number of travellers in Europe, the richest Nigerians there are Yorubas just like the richest Nigerians in Nigeria are the Yorubas.
They mostly stay in SW (just like the Europeans stay in their places )but travel to better and richer places than theirs.
I hope you are not on the street
