The management of Lens Polytechnic Offa (Lenspoffa), Kwara State, has disclosed that the institution will be matriculating 5,000 new students in its upcoming matriculation ceremony, scheduled for Thursday, February 29, 2024.

The ceremony will take place at Lens University premises, along Ilemona road, Offa.

The Olofa of Offaland, Oba Mufutau Muhammad Gbadamosi Okikiola, Esuwoye II, Ajagungbade I, and high chiefs of Offa, the Rector of the Federal Polytechnic Offa (FEDPOFFA), Engr. Dr. Kadiri Kamoru Oluwatoyin FNSE, directors at FEDPOFFA, highly ranked security officers are expected to grace the occasion.

The Director of Students Affairs of the institution, Mrs. Oladipo Bammeke Mujidat, disclosed this on Saturday while featuring on a programme "Logba Campus", on TNT 102.5FM, Ijagbo, Kwara State.

"Our upcoming matriculation ceremony is unprecedented. We are matriculating 5000 students this year. This is due to the surge in the number of newly intakes and accreditations of more departments in the institution," she revealed.

She also advised fresh students of Lens Polytechnic Offa to obey the rules and regulations contained in the Students Handbook, adding that the institution awards certificates based on good character, conduct, and learning; and not just grades.

Mrs. Oladipo Mujidat congratulated the matriculating students, urging them to abide by the extant laws and procedures of the Polytechnic, a breach of which would attract appropriate sanctions as contained in the students’ handbook and code of conduct.
