@ topic ... we need to consider that almost every aircraft accident makes the news in the US . We need to ... in this case ... consider the number of military aircrafts that are in the air on a daily basis. If we should somehow get the average number of flight hours per day by US military aircrafts and compare it with other countries ... I'm almost sure the US would double the total of all countries combined. They fly a lot more and we should expect accidents more frequently than other countries. They are even flying more often now and taking more risks since they are rushing to churn out more pilots and a larger airforce to take part in their ever increasing involvement in conflicts abroad. They have a problem attracting recruits ... have lowered the requirements and increased bonuses so why would we not expect more accidents? At a rate of even two accidents per month .... I'll consider it verrry low.

I just hope the ones we ordered recently are not refurbished helicopters.
