To think that some people are worshipping Julius Berger signboard and declaring public holiday because of gutter.

The first part of my statement said, "Very commendable", which implies praise for the initiative.

The second part of the statement expressed concern about maintenance of said infrastructure behind the initiative given our track record. Nigerians are naturally skeptics but skepticism doesn't mean wishing for something to fail.

"Check back in 12 months..." is saying one is hoping for the best but we should wait for 12 months to see if things are still in place.

Hope the breakdown helps.

dealslip:

They do una go complain, they no do una go still complain. Honestly negativity has entered deep into the fabrics of the consciousness of many Nigerians. You must say something to dampen any excitement and joy. You already predicted things will be falling apart in twelve months. Why not wait till then.

APC is not that petty like some immature kids.

Brt have been working for close to a decade now......say another thing
don’t mind him, I am not sure he stays in Lagos. Lagos is one of the states that is well managed though our infrastructure is overstretched because of population of people from different part of the country, and yet this ingrate that can’t hold their state government accountable will still online and talk sh!t about Lagos, ask them to go back home, and hear their cries and wail like they were been forced to come to Lagos😂

IMHO, Lagos deserves to be the capital of Nigeria and not Abuja undecided undecided undecided undecided
No. Please let it stay in Abuja. The SW-terners never wanted a capital in Lagos, and still hated the fact that the capital was brought to Lagos. The SW-termers celebrated when IBB relocated to the FCT.

The state has developed at an extremely fast pace since 1999 after decades of redundancy.

grin Abeg make Abuja hold am, we are tired of hearing the cries and wailing of our adult babies, always making reference to Lagos being the former capital, which is responsible for developmental strides. Anambala needs it the more, so they can overtake Ragos according to our deluded brothers😂

Wellllll

He is doing what he can do shaaa

But
He is not touching the right places IMHO
There are so many places in Lagos that are best known as "Trenches"
He has ignored all those places for years.
Instead he focused his attention on the places where the rich commonly live.
The best Governor of Lagos State would be the Governor who brings major developments to the "Trenches"

Though, Mr Sanwo Olu is doing the best he is capable of doing 😇✨

God bless you. Places like badagry axis are less developed compare to other places

No good governor will leave a built up (dense)area to install facility lacking in it at a less populated zone. BADAGRY is having steady development too (in roads, estates development, etc,)by the way but priority should be given to the much populated areas first because the need is to ease living standard not just beautify and expose. Provision of Good livelihood comes first before economic benefits, and even so, the prioritized areas still best BADAGRY in both.

This is what happens when the old heads in our govt instead of using their power to rule like dictators give it to the younger generation.

Not a fan of godfatherism but at least it is something that guarantees a working young brain will be on the seat of govt.

Very commendable. However, Nigeria does not have a proven record of maintaining core infrastructure very well. Check back in 12 months and see if things are not falling apart.
The BRT commenced operation under Fashola, I can remeber using it in 2012 and now 2024, it is still operational.
However, you are very correct based on statistics.

Re: Lagos Red Line Rail Trains Tested Ahead Of Commissioning by 77up(m): 8:44am On Feb 25
Under the same economy, Sanwo-olu built railways and provided trains. He built railway stations. Built bus terminals and provided buses. Initiated, started, and commissioned mass housing projects, including three estates with 1000 units at Gbagada, Odo-Onosa Ayandelu and Agbowa. Built flyovers and overhead bridges, as well as roads. He also built and commissioned schools and hospitals. And then increased workers salary by 20% while providing palliatives and subsidised rice.

My question to you is this: What has your Governor done with the increased federal allocation, which has increased by 69% since fuel subsidy ended in June 2023? Yet, you want to protest hardship. If your Governor is collecting increased allocation and has not increased salary, Tinubu is not up or problem. Your issue is in your state capital. That is the source of your hardship!

You never know what those candidates that lost will do either. Maybe even better, nobody knows. He's just doing what he ought to do.

This is an example of what we called weaponisation of poverty. You will soon see how people will be running, rushing and squeezing themselves to enter the trains. We saw it with the Blue rail. It's because most people never see it in their lifetime.

no one governor can do everything at a go, just start, where you stop, another will continue. Besides, is the red line and blue line situated in the Rich boys corridor? Maybe, mile2, oyigbo, Agege, Mushin, agbado is now rich men hood. You mustn't criticize just for clout.

The funny thing about running mad is that people who get to experience it see it as their normal reality.
You'll think you're at home eating bread when you're butt naked in the market, eating foam and throwing stones at people.

Seun, you should use Reddit more often to see how to properly moderate an online forum. Your own is to come here and drop notice and ginger small whenever your site is down. But you can't ban and blacklist the IP addresses of people constituting nuisance like this Yarimo here. Walk the talk my man.
See how they're rubbishing your site.
