BAT didn't even mean to remove subsidy on day 1. He was making a speech. Then went off script and said subsidy is gone. Based on this, marketers applied market rates immediately. The govt has been playing catch up since then!
Exactly. He didn't mean to remove the subsidy that same day.
U can't blame the marketers for applying the actual market rates.
That announcement was totally arrogant and irresponsible.
