Oyo State Governor Seyi Makinde joined the state chapter of the Nigeria Labour Congress (NLC) in a peaceful protest on Tuesday.

The demonstration, which began at the NLC state secretariat in Agodi, Ibadan, saw the workers marching to various locations, with the governor joining them at Gate – NTA – Yemetu roundabout.

During the protest, Governor Makinde addressed the workers, acknowledging the prevailing hardship and assuring them that the difficulties would soon be addressed.

He expressed his commitment to being part of the generation that works towards fixing the challenges faced by the country.

“I am aware of the hardship in town and the difficulty the people are going through, but I will be part of the generation that will fix the country,” Governor Makinde said.

The state NLC Chairman, Kayode Martins, highlighted the unbearable cost of living, emphasizing the people’s frustration.

“The cost of living in Nigeria today is nothing to write home, and the people are fed up, so that’s why we are on the street now,” Martins lamented.

do and go back home guys, that protest is useless. Ask Makinde to spend security money on security so that people can move about doing business freely and you’ll be fine.

Stop crying hunger to him tell him specifically what you want him to fix that will increase your chances of fixing hunger problems for you and your family.

You should send any government away for insecurity

When the people you are protesting against join your protest then you should be in shock and lost of words. Politicians have perfected the art of mind control.

Pure hypocrisy.

How? Because he is a Yuroba man protesting against one of his own. When the frog eyes and others were protesting again one of their own from southern Nigeria, did you know the word Pure Hypocrisy? He is a different party so that gives him the right to protest against another ruling party.

Have you sat down and asked yourself this question? The time the frog eyes and the olodo skeleton man from the north just finished destroying Nigeria for 8 years, what was the living situation then and now?

This confirms everything I needed to know about this protest. The protest was sponsored by the APC so the real protest doesn't break out. Expect the presidency to acknowledge the protesters and assure them that the government will look into addressing their concerns

Thunder fire APC insha allah

He was only there to address not join.
Misleading headline.
If he joins, what benefits will that bring or he should come and tell people what and how he plans to reduce hardship in his state like other governors have been doing
