God Will Provide

So Abraham called that place The Lord Will Provide.

Genesis 22:14

Stella worked in a printing press. Being a beautiful girl she had many males proposing love to her with all sorts of motives. Stella had needs as a girl and unlike many other ladies who live on the material gifts from men or monetary sustainance from unhealthy relationships. Stella lived a virtuous life, contented with God's provision for her life.


Many years ago God asked Abraham to sacrifice his only son Isaac after he had waited for twenty five years to have him. Abraham had a need for a child at old age but when asked to sacrifice Isaac he gave a reply to his dear son who asked him " Where is the sacrifice? " The Lord will provide "
Just after his attempt to sacrifice Isaac God provided a ram for the sacrifice.


In a world of materialism and flashy desires do we still trust God's provision? Are we willing to sacrifice our desires for upright living? Do we still count on principles on how we get what we want when we have needs ? We say we love God but are we willing to set aside what is important to us to please God.

Our relationship with God should always be above our needs and flashy desires. We should not break principles and ethical behaviors all in a bid to have more of our needs met. When tempted to do anything illegal to have more may we remember Abraham's words " The Lord will provide"


Key Point: God provides for those who put their trust in him.


Prayer : Lord help me to trust in your provision whenever I have a need.
