He should go!

He is a Carpenter. By Providence, he got to finals. His coaching style is alien to us. We play attacking football, using the wings.

NFF should be blamed for our soccer woes because of jumbo corruption going on the House. The coaches are owed and they always have a cut in the salary. And that is why Paseiro survived all this years.

NFF is politically infested. No professionals Manning the Association. Ibrahim Gusau, the chairman from zamfara state, is not fittingly qualified to head the association. For one thing, zamfara has no club representative in NPFL but he is in forefront of managing our football.

Is that not plausible?

NFF should be deinfested of political nitwits who are after the money instead of service.

It's time to apply surgical operation to remove deadwoods and political simpletons dragging our football backward.

A homegrown coach in the mould of late Stephen keshi is desirable.

Amuneke, ex player and apostle of attacking football, in my mind.

Angelfrost:

No fault of his...

Your country couldn't present proper holding and defensive midfielders that would have enabled Iwobi push and stay upfront to supply all the assists to Osimhen.

Your wingers didn't step up either.

Osimhen practically kept dropping deep to hustle and break up play... How did you expect him to optimize his attacking prowess?!!

See the clear difference in his club... 5 goals in just 3 first games along with a hat trick.

Imagine Erling Haaland in that Super Eagles team set up...! He won't even score a single goal. cheesy
What do you mean? So whose job is it to identify good midfielders for the Eagles? The NFF? If a coach can't identify and select players that would give him good results then he should be held responsible. NFF can't go looking for good midfielders for him. Just accept it. The guy is just an average coach. He was a disaster. Even the performance of the Eagles were not convincing. They were even lucky to have been in the finals.

Should have been sacked. That nonsense, unambitious negative football they played at the final is unforgivable.

We go rest now as he has left, so who's the Nigerian to take over from him since Reno said we should do Nigerian things at all times, or make Reno Omokri come coach them

I only want a coach that wil make the team competitive. Not the one that wil be afraid to bench a player , not the one that wil do pardi pardi with players.. a coach that can deplore tactic to win a game .

It's not about going to Algeria, it's about winning. With his style of football, he may not succeed in Algeria. The coach is average.

He was a good footballer doesn't mean that he would be a good coach.

Amuneke is largely untested. Forget his achievement with the u-17.
Are you blind to skip his role as the coach who qualified Tanzanian national team to the nation's cup after several years in the wilderness and be also coached them at the nation's cup...... you must either be a prophet of doom or you are being paid to discredit Amunike

Well if he is leaving he should be paid all his money.

Naija no get money to pay foreign coaches but go still dey employ them.

Again, with the crop of players we have, we shouldn't be too defensive almost through out games.

Damn!

Well, I don't disagree with you.

However, I heard a lot of lobbying and interference go on there which hamper the team choices of the coach... The reports might be false sha.

Still, it is what it is... It was unfortunate that Ndidi was injured.

If he had been fit and sharp, Iwobi would have played his natural role upfront, Osimhen would have thrived better at what he does naturally, and it just might have been us with that trophy.

Shit sucks, but it's now recent history!

On to the next coach, and world cup qualifiers.

Hopefully the incoming manager gets it right.

Let him go. We have better hands that can do the job. Pay our local coaches 1/4 of what NFF pay Peseiro and see them die on the job to give results

He tried but the rubbish they played in the final won't be forgotten.
I think I agree with those who have allege that juju was used by the Ivorians in that match. You don't play a final like that. Score one goal and relax? Who die that in a final. It is a do or die affair, the mentality that was strangely absent.
Except of course they had sold the match.

Emmanuel Amuneke deserve the Coaching position. For those asking foolish questions like what has he achieved. Perhaps you lots should ask the Ivorian coach what he achieved before winning AFCON or Cisse the Senegalese coach his CV as well.

Don't mind the clowns. As if Ivorian and Senegalese coaches had any prior coaching experience before wining AFCON.

Amuneke has paid his dues with leading the Tanzanian team to their first AFCON and won the U-17 World Cup with Nigeria. Amuneke plays beautiful attacking football and understand the system that will bring out the best in Osihmen and our team.

Have you checked Rohr's managerial history?

Have you checked Peseiro's managerial history? Someone who has managed Sporting CP and Braga? Someone who has worked as assistant coach with Real Madrid?

Stop hyping this Peserio. Check his records and you'll see the countless finals he lost all thanks to his anti-defensive football. Dude was famous in Portugal for bottling finals and his lack of Silverware. This was why it didn't come to me as a shock when he bottled the final to a weak Ivorian team.

They are always quick to discredit his achievements whereas their own choices don't even have half of what Amuneke had achieved
