robosky02: No problem. Can we judge them with their Afcon statistics. Eguafon: 2006 ( 3rd place) Egypt or Tunisia Host. & 2021 ( 2nd round) Cameroon Host. Pesero: 2024 ( 2nd Place) just concluded AFCON. |

Emmanuel Amuneke, my bros any day anytime. Cool, calm, collected Nice to a fault. He is not your average Nigerian. The guy only depended on his salaries that were not even paid as and when due by NFF when he was coaching under 17. He didn't do kurukere or put his players under pressure. Very lovable person. We used to celebrate his birthday on the 25th of December in my house when he was in Nigeria. Abeg let them give him that coaching job. Sentiments aside, he will do a good job. He is a devoted person 5 Likes |

Lol,.as if your NFF can afford Jurgen Klopp and Renard money Amunike seems the best choice for now, the Angolan or Equatorial Guinea coaches are also very decent. 1 Like |

Foreigners, as long as NFF doesn't look to cut deals over credentials - Former German Coach Lowe, Mikel Arteta's Assistant Coach, Andreas Pirlo, Luis Enrique, Patrick Viera, Vincent Kompany, But Noooooooo...they'll go bring one FAKE OYIGBO from somewhere and pay journalists to hype him |

[quote author=robosky02 post=128714173]Who should be the new Super Eagles Coach after Poseiro? 1) Emmanuel Amunike 2) Herve Renard 3) Finidi George 4) Jurgen Klinsman Emma Amunike, he has the experience and had coached most of the super eagles before now. So I pray the NFF and minister of sports & youth development do the needful. |

MASTERCHIEF0847: It's not they influence all the players' selection. But they have candidate or candidates. And not all explayers are as influential as Kanu. Kanu Nwankwo has even held so many political posts from different states in the past. Maybe he still has one or 2 now |
Re: Who Should Be The New Super Eagles Coach After Poseiro? by MASTERCHIEF0847(m): 11:45pm On Mar 01 |
Cmanforall:Mention just one player Kanu has influenced to make the super eagles team and same for Okocha. Just one player each Kanu only held an appointment with the state FA of his state. |

MASTERCHIEF0847: Okocha - Iwobi Kanu - I don't know tbh. But he has the connections to do that, if he wants |

We should not go for local coaches for now. Our current crop of players in the Super Eagles squad will not respect a local coach . The local coach won't have much authority over them . A foreign coach will have no qualms enforcing his rules on the team. Eguavoen can remain as the Technical Director of the team. A role should be found for Amuneke. I believe Amuneke should be given the u-23 job or the flying eagles job. Better Still, Amuneke should replace Finidi in the Super Eagles set up. I think we should go for a foreign coach once more. A good but not too popular foreign coach who has won the Europa Cup or South American club championship cup ( Copa libertadores etc ). So we need a very good but low cost European Coach or South American Coach. We have had a South American Coach ( Brazilian ) in the past . I think his name was Father Tiko or something. Let the NFF cast their nets wider into South America and Latin Europe. Cheers. |

Cmanforall:You have proof that Okocha influences Iwobi's selection? Una go just dey yarn anyhow, just because he is his uncle? You accused Kanu of same yet same you say you don't know. Name one Nigerian player that plays in the premier league that doesn't make the Super Eagles team, just one.Person play for Arsenal and a regular for Everton and Fulham but you don't think he can make the team based on that, but you have no issues with players from Malta,Cyprus etc making the team. shiwex: Are you seriously asking what Herve Renard has won? The same Herve Renard who has won two AFCONs with two different teams? Zambia (2012) Ivory Coast (2015). That man knows African football like the back of his hands. The issue is whether we can afford him going by our current economic woes. |

If not that his ban remains until August, Samson Siasia is the best Nigerian coach for the job. We play beautiful football under Siasia, and I remember a football pundit made that comparison when Rohr was coach and our football had no coordination. Emmanuel Amuneke's Tanzania played that type of headless football too, reminiscent of Rohr. Amuneke would be a disaster waiting to happen if he is made coach. I am also surprised that many people are mentioning Finidi George. The same Finidi George under whom Enyimba is playing very uninspiring football? Finidi George was a fantastic player, and at a time, the best 7 in the world. But being a football legend doesn't mean you will make a good coach. The same with Amuneke. Some people are even mentioning Kanu Nwankwo and Jay Jay. Some Nigerians need to understand that being a good footballer does not mean you will make a good coach. What coaching experience do Okocha and Kanu have that you want to put them in charge of Africa's most decorated team? |

vastolord4:Foreigners tend to do better? Based on what statistics The reality is foreigners tend to do worse Foreigners have had more opportunities MORE THAN TWENTY AND MOST HAVE BEEN CRAP The few We have had have been excellent |

Finidii George Bill be an excellent replacement We should focus on coach development for the long term . There must be a strategy. We should also focus on developing our local league even if that means we go 10 years without winning any This same mentality with coaching affects every aspect of our lives That is why dependence on foreign lives is killing us today Coaching is part of the game. Are we saying if there was a rule that You must have only national coaches we can't do well Have we no shame? |
