Awolowo did not have a religious ideology like Buhari who is a known religious bigot and Islamic supremacist. Besides, Awolowo's party was not the ruling party. APC introduced Muslim Muslimfrom state level before taking it national.
They first started with states like Niger, took it to Kaduna before finally landing it in Abuja.
