Abuja Businessman Reacts As Hoodlums Invade, Loot His Warehouse by Man102: 6:44am On Mar 05
An Abuja-based businessman, Murtala Ibrahim Gusau, has reacted to the invasion of his warehouse by suspected hoodlums in the Karmo area of Abuja.

Politics Nigeria had reported that a private warehouse in the Karmo area of the capital city was attacked by hoodlums who looted hundreds of bagged grains and other commodities.

Gusau said that the hoodlums arrived at his store located at Sabuwar-Unguwa area in the community around 9am and forced their way in.

He noted that some of the hoodlums were from the community while others have arrived on motorcycles from Gwagwa town.

“On getting the information about the incident, I ran to the Karmo Police Division but only to learn that the police there had left for Gwagwa where the first incident took place,” Gusau said.

“Same information I got at the vigilante office around the market. So, I went back to the market and invited my fellow traders.

“On arrival, we discovered that the youth had already started looting the food items, and all efforts to stop them were not successful, as they used the arms in their possession, like sticks and machetes to attack us. I sustained some injuries from the attack,” he added.

Given the breakdown about the looted items, the trader disclosed that about 711 bags of rice were stolen along with 652 bags of beans, as well as 1,602 bags of sugar.

Gusau, however, added that he was able to recover some of the stolen food items through the efforts of Karmo policemen, who arrived around an hour later in company of other policemen from the Life Camp division, and the FCT Police Command.

“The police were able to recover about 363 bags of rice, 475 bags of beans, and also 1,255 bags of sugar. We recovered them from some household and also the vandal’s hideout,” he said.

The businessman revealed that the food items supplied were meant for Ramadan packages for the less privileged.

The Government started the looting of warehouses, the people just followed the lead. How can a Government invade warehouses of businesses in the guise of releasing hoarded food products? The people only learnt from the snatch it, grab it and run with it, Government.

This is a very bad development. Why looting an individual's shops? Why not marched to Aso rock and loot the presidency?

This madness must be curtailed before it will spread like wild fire and consume everyone.

Ok.
That is it.
I said severally that these lootings will take a trajectory that we will all witness looting of Govt warehouses, Private warehouses, then public shops and stores and later privates stores and shops. Someday, they will loot our homes too.
We should all condemn these acts of criminalities.
Yes, people are hungry. But inside the hunger, there are criminals hiding under hunger to steal.
Jobless and criminal minded Hausa boys in Abuja are behind all these lootings.
They target warehouses to loot not because they want food, but to steal to go and sell. These pack of criminals go about and spearhead these looting and then other passerbys join in the Free fall of stealing. These good for nothing packs of criminals will soon start targeting big malls like ShopRite and Sahad Stores and then smaller private shops.
People should hire guards to shoot at sight any attempt to steal their goods.
Wike should get rid of jobless Hausa boys from Abuja. These boys are not adding any value to Abuja other than Criminal acts.
And the North should ban Almajiri system that is breeding dangerous children for the streets. They should stop breeding criminals for the Nation.

Hoarding of food items that are meant to be distributed to the vulnerables is bad.
Tinubu promised to credit the vulnerable Nigerians with 25k as palliatives,up till now nobody has received a dime.
It is only federal government workers that have received theirs. Are they the real vulnerables?

This has always been my fear.

After looting government warehouses,what next?.

They will start with individual warehouses and finally start breaking into people's shops and houses.

The government must address this very fast.

They should start doing something,we are tired of hearing,we are going to,we will,we are on it.

Let's assume that looting of rice and other food items is due to hunger... But what can we say about looting of doors, sinks and other house building items.

The government need to fish out the perpetrators and make them suffer before the law. This is what happened when large percentage of the citizens of a country are liability.

They are only active in knacking each other and expanding the Poverty to the next generation.

This is the reasons why china that even has more of it's citizens as assets put and law over children bearing.

Over 70% of Nigerians are liability. No country can strive in this situation.

For those of you supporting this rubbish, I hope you don't complain when the hen comes home to roost. They have started with Govt. Warehouses and have move to stealing people's goods in truck, goods either bought on credit or someone's hard earn money and you're laughing about it and making a joke of it saying it is hunger. I hope when they start breaking into your shops and homes you will still understand it's hunger? We were in South South when Militancy started and they were kidnapping the white expatriate people laughed it off and said it's just the white, they don't kidnap black people because they are our sons, the white began to go back to their country and when there where no more whites to kidnap they started kidnapping their so called black brothers who worked in oil companies, people still laughed it off that they only kidnap oil workers, when oil companies began to leave they started kidnapping rich men, people started saying they only kidnap rich people, today everyone is a target weather rich or poor nobody is spared. Same thing happened in the North with Boko haram, same thing in the east with UGM, here we are again cheering this looters. I hope when they start breaking into the homes of your age fathers, mothers, sisters, brothers, cousins, uncles and aunties. I hope by that time we will also understand it is hunger?

It's my turn effect. This is the result of trying to rule over 200 million people without without planning. I don't even pity those thieves looting peoples goods in the name of hunger, they are part of the people that voted this calamity into power

My fellow Igbos. If your business is food items. Kindly pause especially if you are trading within North or South West.

No need losing your capital to these hungry urchins who keep voting m.orons into power.

A word is enough for the wise.

It's a robbery attack! Police should get to the root of this. It may even be sponsored against him by his competitors. We are not criminals who celebrate criminals who rob and attack innocent people in broad daylight. Except the Police takes very drastic action against this organized crime perpetrators and arrest their promoters online, it will not stop.
