which polity?

is the polity the source of the food that you say it will be "redistributed back into the polity"?

how will it be distributed and what criteria will be used?

No, the food were farmed on Mars. So it will be redistributed on Mars. Why am I even responding to this fink?

There are responsibilities, duties and obligations that citizens owe their country. Nigerians are just too flippant about everything. Even to pay tax is wahala for them.

and the politicians that run the government, what do they do?

are they responsible?

how do they carry out their constitutional responsibilities and duties to the citizens and to the country?

do they pay their taxes?

So those food stuff being smuggled out were grown on the moon and financed by aliens?
It is because of hunger induced by poor governance that has coined the word smuggling for a legitimate business people have been doing for ages. Do you mean Nigerian agricultural products are not exported to other countries or what? For some people, this is their business and it wasn't termed smuggling ever since up untill these unfavorable policies. Infact, government was even encouraging agricultural export and banned import. The government doesn't just know how to handle the current situation. Just doin guess work

So people are now being arrested for doing their business of exporting commodities in from Naigeeria? undecided

Why are they not arresting Dangote for exporting cement and oil products?

Food is not scarce, it's just too expensive.
This government is really clueless.

EFCC stand for ECONOMIC and financial crimes commission. Smuggling of food outside the country when the border is suppose to be closed is an economic sabotage which is an economic crime so it's still within the jurisdiction of the efcc to intervene if the customs are just collecting money and turning a blind eye. The efcc itself is as corrupt as the customs but hopefully maybe with efcc stepping in and increasing the number of agencies to bribe before you can smuggle out stuffs, people will chose to sell their products within Nigeria which will increase supply and reduce price.
I'm currently in Maiduguri and previously, almost every day, egg is loaded up close to where I am and sent to Cameroon cos they make more money selling it to them but no single truck has been loaded here in like 2weeks so I think it's getting harder or more expensive to smuggle out stuffs

It is in Nigeria that i believed human brain can be reformatted.
A wholesaler that stores goods to sell later is hoarding. And an exporter becomes a smuggler.
Basic economics taught us that as long as there is a continuous production, supply and demand will find its equilibrium to determine price. In Nigeria it is Government that want to determine price. They are threatened by warehousing and exportation because they do not have any plan to support production.

that is exactly my question. Is it now a crime to export food from Nigeria? The government should focus of giving the right incentives to farmers and make them sell to Nigeria.

You don't export to create scarcity in the land where you are enjoying government benefits to produce. In Nigeria, every production objective is only for profit.
Meanwhile, in a better country where the citizen comes first, you can't export in this manner.
