James.4.4 - Adulterers and adulteresses! Do you not know that friendship with the world is enmity with God? Whoever therefore wants to be a friend of the world makes himself an enemy of God. The truth is, being friends with the world and anything that manifests that friendship is counterproductive to our faith journey. A decline in faith is an invitation to hell. Repent and be totally committed to God, leave the things of the world alone. This does not mean you should leave the world or not use certain things, but be very mindful that whatever you are doing glorifies God and not the other way round. You can live in the world but your heart is living in heaven What you value in your heart is very important to God, do you value the things of the world or the things of God? MaxInDHouse:It goes beyond the lyrics a lot of times these days. Evil has evolved. A lot of these songs have been enchanted in secret. The lyrics may seem clean but a spell may have been cast on the song to achieve a particular goal which is most times meant to promote the love for vanity, the things of the world, sin and sinful desires. You listen to these songs and want to listen to more of it, want to have the kind of fun shown on the video, live luxuriously and carelessly ignore the things of God like reading the Bible, praying often and attending church 1 Like |

Sometimes, these artistes are not even aware that their songs have been enchanted. Many record labels are owned and controlled for this sole purpose all over the world. It is true that not all songs have been enchanted but seeing that it is difficult to ascertain what has been cursed or not, is it not better to be on the safer side and do all to avoid them? 1 Like |
