Europeans did Africa dirty. Shared the lands and people like they deemed fit without as much as considering family and religious ties.

When they finished, they went and created EU where a passport holder can transverse the whole of EU without the border control disturbing him or her. Here in Africa, we're yet to unify

How many decades ago since the Europeans gave us independence?

A lazy man will always blame his past and his tools for his enduring failures.

Go and find out what happened to India, Bangladesh and Pakistan.

What happened to the USSR

Niger and Northern Nigeria (minus middle belt) should have been one country. They share almost everything in common, from religion to culture, physical look and geography etc. yet the vagabond Brits came and joined them with Southern Nigeria they have absolutely nothing in common with.

What a shame!

Spot on!!

Only those who have been to the core North can comprehend what you wrote up there!!!

I always tell anyone who cares to listen that the day they visit that region then they will understand that there's nothing like one Nigeria!!

Nigeria is a contraption that serves the interests of the Fulani in all over the Sahel region of Africa, and the conial masters to some degree. They benefit from the crude oil in the Niger delta region, a million times more than the indigenes of the Nigerdelta.

Yes and Niger should be in the same country with every Hausa speaking people. Yoruba people should be with Benin, Togo and Oduduwa republic. The fact remains that Nigerien man has more right in the so call Nigeria than a Yoruba and Igbo man another despicable fact. If a Yoruba man is looking for a job and Nigerien come to look for the same job in Abuja and the director is Hausa who do think he is going to pick ?

First page comments on this thread didn't disappoint. Until present Africa wakes up, we'll continue to be pitched against one another. "Independence" is yet to be attained but can our leaders pay the price of freedom instead of being lap dogs to the West?

THE BEDROCK OF NATIONHOOD IS COMMONLY SHARED VALUE SYSTEMS.
Most of Ghana and Ivory coast share common value systems.
The Fulani in Nigeria, Niger, Tchad share no value systems with the people of the old eastern region and former Bendel State of Nigeria.
A NATION CAN NEVER EMERGE FOR NIGERIA.

It was deliberate. Do they want peace and unity for Africa abnitio? They would deliberately put incompatibility together and would now be selling arms to you when fight burst.

But how did the Caucasians become so powerful and did Africans dirty.

Very simple.....

They're people with a war culture who swept away every other civilizations before them. They didn't do that in Africa alone. They also over ran people in Asia, Australia, South & North America.

For more information, see why Europeans were able to conquer Africa and the rest of the world https://www.africason.com/2017/09/why-europeans-were-able-to-conquer.html

Elzazzi:

I still think God prefers the Caucasians to Africans.

This God mentality is part and parcel of our problem in Africa. Else, what type of God created humans in Africa first, then prefer newer Caucasians who aren't more than 6,000 years on earth?

This is despite the fact that we Africans invented the concept of God thousands of years before any other race existed.

The God you're talking about must be evil.

All the time una dey push blame dey find who to blame and don't take responsibility.
Europeans have left over 70 years ago and you guys have ruled yourself and have the power to turn things around, yet una still dey blame them.
Are you guy okay at all or just low thinking beings?
Cave out a niche for una self and create your own destiny, stop blaming Europeans for your stupidity and misfortune.
America was colonized by Britain, but they have moved forward, better than Britain... created their own destiny, yet you Africans are still blaming Britain.

Blame the ancestors of Africa... Europe wasn't united unti the last 60yrs....They fought wars for Centuries to crown their war efforts .. fought World war 1 and 2....It wasn't actually a world war ...
They were ethnic wars amongst European Sub group French, slavs, Prussians, Poles, English, Finnish etx....
To establish their supremacy over others they create colonies and saw the whole world as theirs ...
Dividing territories According to the ethnic groups of Europe not according to Africans ...That's why we have Portuguese, English and French Colonies...Based on the map they created
