Not possible wen Nigeria is still importing tooth pick

That rail system has too many deficiencies.

Does your country have the analogue railway, talkless of this digital railway.

lol, it will never fall down man

Forget, it can fall in Nigeria. The politicians will collect their shares and substandard materials would be used at some points thinking it's inconsequential

Until we start voting in the right people... This kind of development will not reach to us. I have been on it several times at Düsseldorf Airport and Wuppertal Stadt in Germany here... Noiseless and efficient transport!

Lol
Let's assume it naturally costs 1billion naira to construct start to finish.
The politicians in charge will earmark 10billion for the project and give the middlemen 3billion, while they pocket 7billion.
The middle men will pocket 2billion and give the construction company 1billion.
Now the various traditional rulers and omoniles of the communities through which the rail will pass will come and collect like 300million from the construction company.
Now the construction company will have no choice than to remove their own profit of about 500million from the balance, leaving about 200million naira to construct a 1billion naira project.

Ask me again why it will not fall down grin

A similar has already been started by former Rivers state gov. Amaechi and abandoned by Wicke-d administration.

not in our time, a country still struggling with hunger. Where ethnicity and tribalism erodes professionalism.

The upside-down or suspension railway

It's an elevated monorail, wherein the vehicle is suspended from a fixed track, constructed right above waterways or roads. The train dangles beneath a track and carries loads or people. Construction of this monorail started back in 1898, and the train started functioning in 1901

Japan and Germany are the two countries with such railways.

Here are pictures of some train in Japan.

There is one at Oshodi Terminal naw after bolade busstop.

There is another one at Mushin Idi-Oro Terminal.

This is not a fanciful thingy. I used it in Wuppertal and then I realized our leaders are indeed short sighted and evil at best.

santaclaws:
Very possible, but it's an unnecessary project. We're ok with a basic fast rail system and good roads for now... We can't ignore the basics and start fancy projects, who are we deceiving. 😏

It was an engineering marvel. So comfy and nothing to worry about. Boarding and highlighting at the platforms were superb just like using tram. On top of my head, I mean, a lot went into it such as fibrration and balancing of the beam that it is hung and slides on. But it is a very beautiful experience at Wuppertal, the city of suspended monotrain.

God1000:
This is wonderful

Have you boarded such a train before, tell us about your experience

I know where the Schwebebahn is located and I have lived in Germany myself. I'm just saying it's not an essential project in Nigeria right now. We need to get the basics right before thinking of this...

Nigerians are still struggling with potholes on the road, keke and danfo menace, NURTW thugs on the road, rail track thieves etc, we need to get it right first.

It should not be a big deal.

It seems it is built where conventional monorail or elevated trains may be a challenge.

Beautiful engineering wonder! The Japanese and German make amazing trains. But so are the Chinese to an incredibly great extent. Last year the city of Wuhan launched its own sky trains. See below. ⬇️
