Yes the US Owes china and other countries but fact is they did not borrow a single dime from those countries. It is called THE US TREASURIES….
The us treasuries is like buying a bond or more like buying shares in the US economy. China and some other countries had to beg or lobby to invest in the us economy.it is the US that did them a Favour by allowing them to invest in their economy and consequently the us is said to be indebted to this countries.
For your info you have to be qualified for you to be able to buy into the US treasury, so not just any country can invest in the US TREASURY.
So based on the analogy above you can actually say the us owes or is indebted to those countries but US never borrowed a dime from any of those countries,
Rather they did them a Favour by selling the US TREASURIES BOND to them….
I hope you understand this little explanation …..
