NLC Vs Abure: We’re Not Aware Of Ejiofor-Led Bot – Labour Party by Ofunaofu: 11:48pm On Mar 28
The Labour Party, LP, on Wednesday denied the existence of any Board of Trustees, BoT, headed by Comrade SOZ Ejiofor.

The LP, in a statement by National Publicity Secretary, Obiora Ifoh, said Ejiofor, who it said left the party about a decade ago, was briefed and drafted into the struggle by the Nigerian Labour Congress, NLC, to takeover the party’s leadership.

The party said since Ejiofor stepped down as the first National chairman of the LP over two decades ago, he has not attended any meeting, or played any noticeable role as a member of the party.

The statement said Ejiofor is not even known in his ward and has not paid a single dime as membership dues which qualifies him as a member.

The party re-empahsized the conduct of the just-concluded National Convention that saw the reemergence of Julius Abure as National Chairman.

The statement reads: “The Labour Party, LP, on Wednesday successfully conducted its national convention in Nnewi Anambra state and Barrister Julius Abure was elected unanimously and overwhelmingly by over 350 delegates that were in attendance.

“The attendant list includes the Governor of Abia state, Dr. Alex Otti who was represented by his deputy Ikechukwu Emetu, the Deputy Minority Whip of the House of Representatives, Hon George Ozodinobi who led over 10 members of the National Assembly, the entire members of the Abia state House of Assembly led by the Speaker, Hon. Emmanuel Emeruwa, the Deputy Minority Leader of Imo state House of Assembly, Hon. Clinton Amadi led other of his colleagues in the Imo state House of Assembly, other members of state assembly from Enugu, the entire commissioners and top government officials from Abia state amongst others.

“Despite this huge success, It came to the leadership of the party as a huge surprise of a statement trending in the social media purportedly from one Comrade SOZ Ejiofor on behalf of the Board of Trustees of the party claiming that he has taken over the leadership of the party.

“Amusing as that will sound, but with the greatest respect to the former leader of the party, we sympathise with the Comrade who has since left the political scene more than a decade ago only to be energized, briefed and drafted into this unnecessary tussle by the disgruntled elements in the Nigerian Labour Congress, NLC.

“First, ever since Ejiofor stepped down as the first National chairman of the Labour Party over two decades ago, he has neither attended any meeting or played any noticeable role as a member of the party. He is not even known in his ward and has not paid a single dime as membership dues which qualifies him as a member. It is surprising therefore that after he was “visited” by some leaders of NLC, he suddenly woke up from his slumber.

“The point here is that the Labour Party is not aware of the existence of any Board of Trustees. Recall that NLC has continued to propose for the reconstitution of the BoT as well as the convocation of the National Convention.

“Over 90 percent of persons being suggested to form membership of the proposed BoT have since left the party to join other political parties, some even contested various political positions on the platform of other political parties while some others featured prominently in the presidential campaigns of the other political parties even when Labour Party equally featured a candidate in the 2023 general election.”

Why I’m not bothered by all these shenanigans is that whichever side that wins, Peter Obi is good.

If Abure wins, Obi is good.

If the NLC wins, Obi is good.

That’s why I’m sitting idly by and getting entertained by their roforofo fight while Agbado miscreants are drinking panadol on headache that clearly doesn’t concern them.

This is a people that are supporting a party that has a National Chairman that was caught on camera stuffing stolen funds in his babaringa.

These louts’ equivocation stink🤦

We can see the problem with propaganda. The labour party was hurriedly put together by some desperate people to hijack power hence things are falling apart terribly for them today. Too many revelations coming out day by day. Before 2027 these charlatans would have shred the party into pieces

It's better the dragging and contention for leadership is between NLC and Abure than that smelling old man called Apapa... hahahaha 🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣

Which either side the courts validates, HE Peter Obi is good to go! I strongly advise him not to choose sides. It's unhealthy for a leader to chose side before the court validates.

So let them drag it till 2026.... Because without these internal wrangling, Asiwaju through some of those smelling things will recruit one old werey to do the wrangling!

The silence of Peter Obi on this crisis speaks a lot about his leadership styles coupled with the fact that he refused to attend the so called convention because both of these factions work vigorously for him.
Don't tell me that he is making efforts silently to work on the crisis while the fights are being escalated openly.
This really shows that he can't control the party and they will NOT listen to him. If you allow a crack in your party by big contributors, then you will allow an external party to add fuel to it. Journalists and media houses will light it with matches and eventually the house of cards will collapse.
Tinubu may be too powerful, or selfish as you may want to call it, and influencial but one thing you can't take from him is resolving political crisis fast around him especially people that really works for him and are closer to him. Just look at how he subsided rivers crisis at least for now, despite being a opposition party state.
Everything is not me me me alone, the crisis in this labour party is just starting and majority of their elected members will loose their position in the next election because it will be from one legal matters to another, from the chairman to labour leaders next election, to trust issues and so on. They are never ready for the oppositions, they just rode on the hatred for buhari, tinubu and APC to come to frontline. All built for selfish reasons.

No wonder Peter Obi said he takes advice from mad men. So everything is all about Peter Obi? Doesn't matter if the party collapse? Doesn't matter if the little structure he has is shattered? There'll be no party or member for Peter Obi to use in 2027 if they fight till 2026. 8 House of rep members recently decamped.

Your Pitobi lacks leadership skills, he needs NLC, he needs Abure. Ajaero became enemy of the people because he publicly endorse Pitobi. You have Edo obidients because of Abure and Edo is Obi's strongest base outside SE?

Nothing concerns APC with the useless labour. Labour is not a threat to them. PDP is the threat.

Obidients should go and beg Yakubu. I know what I am saying.

Since the day Obidients took a day to curse and insult that man, their lives have been ruined. Look at the calamity that has befallen LP.

Peter Obi is stuck. He did not wage into the disputes till it got extremely worse. Some key Obidients influencers are threatening to cancel him if he congratulates Abure. To them Abure is corruption personified and they want nothing to do with Abure.

They had already planned to topple Abure and replace him with their own person (Balami), but Abure came out victorious. Abure won't let go after he has tasted money that can be made from being a political party chairman. Abure also made a rule that a member of the party must have atleast 2 years membership before they can be allowed to contest for executive positions. This was done to prevent the Obidients from being able to vote and topple him and his state executives.

And we have not even mentioned Ajaero that also has his eyes on the labour party cookie jar.

It's all greed and nothing but greed.

Not even up to 2 years when the end time Messiah joined the party and everything has scattered. How can someone who couldn't even manage a party that had been in existence for a decade before he joined manage a country of over 200 million, he couldn't even control his headless mob because of the fear of canceling. He lost control of Apga, he left, he couldn't control PDP, he left, what's left for the end time Messiah in LP? Time will tell but it's not looking like their relationship will reach 2017.

HE Peter Obi is not your mainstream Nigerian politicians that depends of structure of criminality.... If it gets messy HE will just pack he bags and move on..... As a true grassroot leader, his followers will move as well.
That's why we have an Obidients Movement, not LP movement.

This is exactly what Obi did when Ojukwu was dying. He refused to help the old man until he heard that Mike Adenuga had paid for an air ambulance to fly Ojukwu out for treatment. This Agulu fool was busy doing houseboy work for PDP in Abuja.

Don't also forget that he repeated this nonsense when APGA was having crises. He eventually lost out of APGA.

Obi is very short-sighted, selfish and dumb.

He swore with the bible to Ojukwu that he would never leave APGA. He went on a podium to tell APGA supporters that he would never leave the party. Well, we all know what happened after. A man without honour. He could have built the party to national status by using it as a bargaining chip like like CPC and ACN, but he was too shortsighted. Oye would just be having a laugh wherever he is.

If your IQ is not infinitesimal, you wouldn't exempt a politician who accepted an appointment from a dictator like Abacha, who was in PDP for 8 years, collected an appointment from GEJ, a former PDP/Atiku VP candidate in 2019, and a former 8 years governor without any milestones achievement to his name from the structure of criminality in Nigeria. Someone that left PDP because he knew he wouldn't get the party ticket after paying for the party presidential Ticket. Do you people even think independently at all

He thinks he is smart but he eventually ends up looking foolish. He lacks foresight and it has always affected his aspirations.

This idiot destroyed LP billboards then he was Anambra Governor. Today, he's in LP. Don't forget how he harassed a Northern Governor. Today, he is in the North, sitting on the floor, eating noodles.

History has it that this lying crook from Agulu has the record of being the only Governor in the history of Africa who was impeached twice. In the entire Africa.

Obidients said structure doesn't matter but they are now fighting over LP.
Peter Obi and his Obidients are short-sighted, selfish and foolish.
