A Federal High Court in Abuja has adjourned the money laundering suit against Binance and its officials till April 8.

The trial judge, Justice Emeka Nwite, adjourned the matter for ruling after listening to parties’ submission on the service of the charge on Binance Holdings Limited.

The defendants; Binance Holdings Limited and Tigran Gambaryan, were meant to be arraigned on Thursday but it was stalled following objection from the counsel for the second defendant, Mark Mordi, (SAN).

Mordi contended that his client cannot be arraigned following the failure of the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission to perfect service on Binance Holdings Limited.

He noted that his client was not an agent, director or representative of the company in the country and as such could not be serve on behalf of the first defeandant.

But the counsel for the EFCC, E.E. Iheanacho, disagreed with him.

He noted that the second respondent is a representative of first defendant in the country, adding that the charge was severed on him on behalf of the company but rejected it.

Iheanacho said It was not the position of the counsel for the second defendant to argue for the first defendant.

He urged the court to enter a plea of not guilty for the first defendant and continue with the proceedings.

Do the Nigerian people know that 60 percent of BDCs are owned by Senators? The Senators of Nigeria are the dollar problems we face as a nation.

And when will the real big thieves be arrested? People like Femi Otedola, Tony Elumelu, Aliko Dangote should be rounded up and locked up for stacking up dollars for generations to come. These are the real enemies of the people.

Instead of them to do what is right to stable the economy, they are arresting people that are doing their legitimate business all in the name of enforcing lawlessness. Nonsense

Lol. Substituted service should only come in after EFCC has exhausted all possible means to serve the first respondent.

They want to do a rush hush bully job. This is why EFCC loses a lot of their cases.

The real problem of Nigeria are the leaders.
Where's Betta edu, sadiya, former aviation minister, and others?

The questions are whether Binance committed any offence in the first place and whether the people detained are the right people to be charged, and whether what Nigeria did is not kidnapping.

How can you invite people to a meeting and then detain them and start making demands on them? Is that not kidnapping?

That's why they always approve senseless loans and they will forward their share to those running their BDC operations.
