I also backed Tinubu on electricity subsidy removal
I can see he is gradually getting it right with petrol and dollar which is more difficult so he will easily get it right with electricity

In the next couple of weeks or months fuel sell for 300 naira and dollar to naira around 800 to 900

So why not apply the same tactics to electricity and I guess that’s what he is doing
Fuel 300 what you dreaming?

God bless Peter Obi, he has now become a standard and raly round for government policies, without his support, the policies of this government will be unpopular. Man dont need any other thing more than this in life, ride on Peter Obi, but I must still add that this people have not show us where he made the mpronouncement, so that we can confirm it. Even with that, any decision to put more burden on Nigeria in the name of deseptive subsidy removal is not welcome again in Nigeria.

These are his exact words 'you can increase the tariff for those in areas where they can afford'

How many Nigerians can afford to pay higher tariff than what people in USA pay when minimum wage in USA is much higher than Nigeria?

Band A can be found in rural areas too, and not everyone on Band A in urban area is a millionaire.

Please stop this argument of minimum wage in USA as it makes no sense. Are things purchased in the US same as Nigeria? Can you compare the cost of house rent in the US with Nigeria? Can you compare the tax deductions in the US with Nigeria?

So, you mean Band A of over 20 hours can be found in RURAL AREAS?? Why do we act like this?

he's getting it with dollar but PMS is still heavily subsidized. I support increase in electricity tariff but atleast there should give me 18hrs of light. So I can control my consumption. Not when I don't know when I will see light again. Me freezer will always be on.

Misleading caption by another agbadorian newspaper.

Peter Obi talked about affluent neighborhoods. Take Lagos for instance, nobody would have complained if the increment were restricted to neighbourhoods like - Lekki, Ikoyi, Magodo etc

Now, compare with areas that IKEDC is imposing such huge tariffs according to Punch:

I live on the island ( tho I am out of the country most times) but guy I have friends living in many of these areas on the mainland who are way richer than people living on the island. A friend of mine living in Gowon estate has mini estate scattered around Lekki scheme 2, Lakuwe and Sangotedo.
Even the island you are talking about, don't you know they are drivers earning N150k to N200k living here?
I think the band needs to be restructured.
Many of the area you mention have lots of high income earners living there.

We are in this shit today because Nigerians are always fraudulent with paying bills. Bribing the distribution company officials and tapping light illegally, if people were paying as they should we won't have had this.
So much power is supplied but very little is accounted for.

Man is beginning to support every policy of President Tinubu this days.

My worst worry is that even the uncultured and unlearned Obidients who know next to nothing like their leader will say the President is taking his advice.

Peter Obi is a big fan of the President if y'all don't know.

Obi worked for Tinubu to stop Atiku in 2023..

This is a misleading information. I live in a neighborhood that's not rich and we are being placed on band A. If the intention is for the affluent then why should my neighbourhood in Egbeda-Alimosho axis be included?!!

Why not wait for Peter Obi to deny the statement. It may interest you to know that Obi has also backed Bola Ahmed Tinubu (GCFR) President and Commander-In-Chief of the Federal Republic of Nigeria as stated below:

1. On the implementation of the Steven Oronsaye report.
2. On the probing of Dr. Betta Edu’s corruption allegation.
3. On the removal of fuel subsidies.
4. On the liberalization of the foreign exchange policy.
5. And now, on the partial removal of the electricity subsidies.
Peter Obi is gradually gravitating to joining Tinubu’s Supporters Club.
