Again ... the military should not be involved in civilian matters. We know to shout "democracy" but have the military involved in our affairs a d we see nothing wrong. Here's the chief saying he'll investigate and prosecute to the full extent of the law..... how dumb can he be? Do military have civilian lawyers? Military have their own laws and their own courts. A military has its own laws and courts. If found guilty .... as murder is this case ... they can be dismissed from the military.... and then be charged by the Police for murder and tried in Civilian court like any other civilian. The FG ends to separate these agencies.... military stay in their lane.... and Police stay in their lane.

This is just laughable. The Nigerian Army has no mandate to investigate a crime. Of course, the military police can conduct an enquiry if they want, however, the Police are the ones to investigate and charge to court if any wrong doing is found.

And you don't understand that Nigeria army took over the job of the police, especially since the Buhari administration.

Now that army has killed a hotel manager, should the residents storm the nearest barrack and kill every army officer?
Don't mind the bastard that tried to contradict the fact.

Those officers must be executed too, if found guilty, since they are not on an official assignment, if the military wanted an investigation they may involve the police or DSS personnel

No sense in tnis comment. Typical comment of a child
typical response of a bloodhoundish guttersnipe illiterate like you.

The statement you quoted makes more sense than your destiny.

Army can't do an umbrella jungle justice when they fall victim of criminality.

Something is deeply wrong with you organically.

Disgusting piece of human waste

Well, the law does not allow them to do so, but Nigeria is lawless anyway

At the end nothing will happen to the army officer.

Nigerian Army is a terrorist organization.

But thank God Russia is now in Niger Republic.

Soon the zoo army will have a real combat with a real well trained military.

Don't mention Buhari's administration here, this has been an age long problem. It happens under every administration.

You should know many nigerians are fools. Their thinking faculty is broken due to centuries of slavetrading and military juntas.

Oppression is a norm to them.

This is the reaction from the military after the reported death of one Nigeria Air Force officer cadet Emmanuel Chidiebere Onyemereche in that hotel.

To "every action, there is equal and opposite reaction"

Army are not a law enforcement agency
and should have no hand in the
investigation of a crime committed by
it's soldiers against civilians..

The hotel is not an army barrack and
the hotel staff are not members of the
armed forces..

All these Should be made clear because
we are beginning to witness a trend
where army always want to investigate
issues concerning them and the public.

Which kind of nonsense are you spewing? "Reaction from the military after the reported death of one of Thier own" can you just listen to yourself, who kill the useless air force officer? Is anyone force him to swim, it's only a foool that don't take responsibility for their failure.

How is this manager's fault?

Most of you are just nitwit

You made sense... But let's ask some basic questions...
1. It was an Air Force cadet officer that drowned so why is it men of the Nigerian Army that came to torture the manager to the point of death?
2. What state was that pool that his body had to be retrieved by men of the Fire Service?

A lot of questions beg to be answered.... Such a promising young man's life wasted

For your first question, the cadet officer was still a student and not yet a graduate, the NDA is made up of all military wings( Air force, Navy and Army) for both students, admin and lecturers.

So when matters are handled it could be any wing of the military or a combined team that handles it same with the NDC which is for senior ranking officers who are about to become generals.

On the other hand I don't think he was on session in the academy at the time the incident happened because I don't think there is any NDA school in Abia state, he was supposed to graduate in a few months time, the only NDA I know is in Kaduna, so he may have been home in Abia for holiday, maybe the sallah holiday.

So the reason why the army handled the case might not be far fetched, Is there an airorce base in Abia state?

If there is none then the next available military wing will most likely handle the matter.

For your second question, what you should also ask is if other civilians were also swimming with him, could it have been that they told him not to swim and he insisted and because the hotel did not want any issue with the military they let him have his way?

Because the entire story I don't think I have read anywhere they said other people were also in the swimming pool aside him and his cadet friend or friends, those with him swimming are the ones that should have been interrogated more to know what really happened....

And lastly from your statement it looks like you are not even empathetic about the hotel manager's life that was killed for something he might totally innocent about, we know how arrogant and sometimes wicked some military personnels are, what if the hotel manager tried to prevent him from swimming and he decided to have his way?

And the hotel manager is now dead for something he might likely not even have a hand in, so I don't know who your last statement is referring to( the cadet guy or the hotel manager) because the last time I checked 2 people died and one till now no ones really knows the circumstances that led to his death while the second is purely a case of military brutality on someone we are not even sure is guilty when even the real thing that happened has not been established.

Yet they have judged him and executed him.

The question is why did they kill the hotel manager? Is it even lawful under the law ?
