Yoruba Nation: Osun Won’t Tolerate Unlawful Gatherings - Amotekun Warns by BeeBeeOoh(m): 6:35pm On Apr 15
The Corps Commander of Amotekun Corps in Osun State, Brigadier General Bashir Adewinmbi (retd.), on Monday, warned against any unlawful gathering under the guise of Yoruba Nation agitation in any part of the state.

Adewinbi, while speaking on the preparation of the security organisation to keep the state safe in the wake of fresh Yoruba Nation agitation, also declared that Amotekun would not allow protests by the group in Osun State.

Recall that some suspected Yoruba Nation agitators dressed in military camouflage and armed with weapons had invaded the Oyo State Government Secretariat in Agodi, Ibadan on Saturday and attempted to hoist their flag on the premises.

Speaking on efforts by Amotekun to ensure that protest by the Yoruba Nation group was not allowed to cause breach of peace in the state, Adewinbi warned against such agitation at the moment.

He said, “There is nothing like Yoruba Nation agitation here in Osun. Amotekun won’t tolerate any Yoruba Nation protest here. What they are agitating for, we have gotten it indirectly.

“The president, Senator Bola Tinubu is a Yoruba man. They are looking for a Yoruba Nation and Nigeria is under a Yoruba man, so Nigeria is a Yoruba Nation now indirectly. They should not create insecurity here. They should not create confusion to divert the president’s attention. Let him face governance.

“God has given him the power and he knows how to use it for the benefit of everyone, not only for Yoruba people alone. Let us give him time. They should forget about the Yoruba Nation agitation for now. There is nothing like that. We don’t need it. Only enemies of progress will join that kind of agitation.”

To prevent the occurrence of such incidents in the state, the Osun State Governor, Ademola Adeleke, on Sunday directed his Special Adviser on Security Matters, Mr Samuel Ojo “to ensure immediate mobilisation of joint security teams to secure the State Government Secretariat, the Government House, and other strategic government buildings including the headquarters of the Osun State Broadcasting Corporation.”

Also, while speaking with The PUNCH, the Osun State Police Command spokesperson, Yemisi Opalola, said the command was aware of the Ibadan incident and was prepared to stop any act of lawlessness no matter the status of the perpetrators.

Every sane person knows Tinubu is behind this miscreants parading as agitators. He is sponsoring them to checkmate the north having realized that they are plotting to destabilize his government. Tinubu's game is already stale and dry.

Stop making statements you cannot substantiate. You people don't want to learn. When they pick you up to prove your baseless assumption in court, you start crying.

I don't even see how Tinubu cannot win 2027 elections if the opposition parties don't unite to contest against him. Rigging is still potent in Nigeria.

Amotekun don talk.

They should round them up and take them to the shrine for cleansing. It’s evident shishe shishe and eedi ati asasi dey follow them.

Even if we want a Yoruba nation, is it by invading the Oyo government house and declaring sovereignty just like? So what happens in Ogun, Osun, Lagos, Ekiti, and Ondo? Will they have Nigerian governors while only Oyo have Yoruba nation governor? What about the military? Is it going to be Oyo soldiers vs Nigerian Yoruba soldiers?

These guys should be flogged mercilessly at the Oja Oba market for this shame they brought to the Yoruba people.

Good. Anyone pushing for secession should go through the right process i.e Via the National Assembly for constitution amendment. Talk to you state governors, talk to your state legislators, senators, HOR e.t.c.

Separation is the only solution to Nigeria or we go back to 1960-1966 types of government were every religion has own prime.
But as for now Nigeria is a failure

You’re not even ashamed mentioning SS that should currently be worrying about how Governors utilize 13% extra allocation and NDDC self-destructive corruption.

Boasting emptily, while suffering badly and smiling painfully, is the curse of most egostistic Nigerians.

Go and ask Bayelsa that is essentially failed today yet an oil producing State, with a small population, that should be near Dubai in Status today if well-led.

But as for now Nigeria is a failure

It is only regional governance that is feasible and that is why the Yorubas are pursuing that option.

The constitution of Nigeria outlaws secession so therefore shouting “separation” daily is redundant and what kids would do. Like telling a man to physically carry a pregnancy.

The constitution, and hence our legislators, stand in the way of secession and only a fool will not realize Nigeria will never gain consensus majority in the legislative houses to force an amendment in our constitution allowing secession.

Let’s begin talking about viable options in Nigeria, like progressive and realistic adults, rather than wasting time obdurately fixated on near impossible options as the SE has done shouting Biafra for sixty years now yet it has not happened and will not happen.

That's if theres no crude oil in yorubaland but unfortunately for you 3 out of 6 Yoruba state are oil bearing.
Do you know Odua group has an oil and gas division that's heavily invested in the industry? You won't because good news about yorubas makes you run mad
See, if Nigeria breaks today, yorubas are the most prepared for regional government, we have a DAWN commission that has already drawn up a blueprint for the development of the south west ,its the security template that was used to establish Amotekun
