Which Bible Verse Proves That The Spirit Is God Omniscient? by AbuTwins: 9:08am On Apr 17
God is Omniscient!

For if our heart condemn us, God is greater than our heart, and knows all things. 1 John 3:20
Great is our Lord and mighty in power; his understanding has no limit. Psalm 147:5
Do you not know? Have you not heard? The LORD is the everlasting God, the Creator of the ends of the earth. He will not grow tired or weary; His understanding is beyond searching out. Isaiah 40:28

Laying out the cards!
There are two Bible verses that proves the Holy Spirit is NOT Omniscient (i.e. does not know all things hence not God)!

1. Matthew 24:36 (NIV): "But about that day or hour no one knows, not even the angels in heaven, nor the Son, but only the Father."
2. Mark 13:32 (NIV): "But about that day or hour no one knows, not even the angels in heaven, nor the Son, but only the Father."

From the above verses, we see that Jesus despite being 100% God + 100% man (as some Christians claim) is not Omniscient!
We also see most importantly that ONLY the father knows all things. ONLY the father is omniscient!

So how is the Holy Spirit God?

Apostle Paul tried to correct the above after Jesus with:
"For who knows a person's thoughts except their own spirit within them? In the same way no one knows the thoughts of God except the Spirit of God." 1 Corinthians 2:11 (NIV)

But this falls short as Jesus already made the claim that NO ONE KNOWS THE HOUR BUT THE FATHER!

So Apostle Paul was wrong that the Spirit knows the thoughts of God and this is a contradiction to what Jesus said!

So which Bible verse(s) proves without ambiguity that the Spirit is God Omniscient?

Lol.

God and His Holy Spirit are inseparable. Can anyone separate Abutwins from his spirit?

The Father and His Spirit are one. Just as Abutwins and his spirit are one.

So this one is not doctrinal right?

Discuss your assertion in relation to:

Is Jesus not one with the father? Yet he does not know the hour!
How is the spirit one with the father when the word ONLY the father was used? Explain the English "ONLY the Father?

And it is false that the spirit is inseparable from the father!
The Father, son and Spirit are coequal, coeternal, distinct from each other according to the creeds!

The father can be in heaven and John is baptizing Jesus while the Holy Spirit will also be descending as a dove (Matthew 3:17)

So which Bible verse(s) proves without ambiguity that the Spirit is God Omniscient?

It's not doctrinal. It's a clarification.

I've discussed it already except you're unable to understand what I said.

Did Jesus say that neither the Holy Spirit knows?

Jesus didn't know as a man. But God knows, and God is Spirit.

God is Spirit.

God and His Spirit are inseparable but they can operate independently.

Take for example;

Someone in the occult has his spirit. He and his spirit are inseparable but he can do astral projection by going into a far country for a meeting with his spirit while his body remains at home in the bed.

May God give you understanding.

Okay

Did Jesus say that neither the Holy Spirit knows?
He said only the father knows. Not the son! What does "only" mean?

Jesus didn't know as a man. But God knows, and God is Spirit.

God is Spirit.
This is your own eisegesis. Jesus didn't say he didn't know something as a man!
If Jesus is God then he should be omniscient at all times!
God's omniscience should be temporary!

God and His Spirit are inseparable but they can operate independently.
You still haven't quote one single verse from your Bible from Jesus?

Take for example;
Someone in the occult has his spirit. He and his spirit are inseparable but he can do astral projection by going into a far country for a meeting with his spirit while his body remains at home in the bed. May God give you understanding.

This example is faulty as body, soul and spirit can not be separated with each functioning as a entity!

This is a Creedal believe that is not Biblical!

That's with the understanding that the Father is one with His Spirit. Let me explain better.

The Holy Spirit is both the Spirit of the Father and of the Son. They share the same Spirit. You'll begin to understand their oneness from here. But still, the Spirit has His own office and can operate independently of the two. So, if the Father knows, the Spirit knows too. If the Son knows, the Spirit knows too.

This is your own eisegesis. Jesus didn't say he didn't know something as a man!

First, when a dog gives birth, it gives birth to a dog, isn't it? When a man gives birth, he gives birth to a man, is that not? When God gives birth, He gives birth to God. Clarified?

Even in your quran, you can see that only Jesus has these trinitarian attributes: Jesus Christ is the Spirit of Allah. He is the Word of Allah. He is also a Human Messenger of Allah. That tells you that Jesus wasn't a mere man even according to your Quran.

You still haven't quote one single verse from your Bible from Jesus?
To support what?

This example is faulty as body, soul and spirit can not be separated with each functioning as a entity!
That's the difference between God and man. Man's body and soul cannot be separated with each functioning as an entity but God is not limited by man's limitations.

This is a Creedal believe that is not Biblical!

I asked what Only the Father mean?

When Jesus said "Our Father who is in heaven" does it mean Father and others?

When Jesus said "Now this is eternal life: that they know you, the only true God, and Jesus Christ, whom you have sent. (John 17:3). Was Jesus and spirit present as "True God"?

It is clear you are not sincere! And as such you can't bring just one verse!

First, when a dog gives birth, it gives birth to a dog, isn't it? When a man gives birth, he gives birth to a man, is that not? When God gives birth, He gives birth to God. Clarified?
God gives birth by what process? Through Mary right? grin If God gives birth to Jesus then Who gave birth to the Spirit? And why is Jesus and the Spirit barren? If God can give birth to Jesus why can't they too give birth like God?

This analogy is false and illogical!

That's the difference between God and man. Man's body and soul cannot be separated with each functioning as an entity but God is not limited by man's limitations.
So your analogy explaining trinity (with human body, soul and spirit) is illogical!

If God became man then he becomes limited!
God by definition is never limited!
If Jesus is 100% God then he can't be human!
If Jesus is fully human then he can't be God!
If Jesus is 100% God and 100% human then Jesus is greater than the father who is only 100% God!
But the father is greater than Jesus!

It is clear you are not sincere! And as such you can't bring just one verse!
It is clear you are very ignorant. I have given you kindergarten explanations, yet you're asking childish questions.

There's one Holy Spirit, and this one Holy Spirit is the Spirit of both Father and Son. This same Holy Spirit indwells all believers who become born again.

There are many scriptures that makes this position clear. I'll give you one. Here below is a scripture that speaks about the prophets of the old testament who prophesied about the coming of the Messiah and His sufferings:

1 Peter 1:10-11
"Concerning this salvation, the prophets, who spoke of the grace that was to come to you, searched intently and with the greatest care, trying to find out the time and circumstances to which the Spirit of Christ in them was pointing when he predicted the sufferings of the Messiah and the glories that would follow."

Notice that the Spirit of God through whom the prophets prophesied is also called the Spirit of Christ. The Holy Spirit is the Spirit of the Father and the Son. There are no two Holy Spirits, just let that sink. Whatever the Father knows, the Spirit knows. Whatever the Son knows, the Spirit knows.

God gives birth by what process? Through Mary right? grin If God gives birth to Jesus then Who gave birth to the Spirit? And why is Jesus and the Spirit barren? If God can give birth to Jesus why can't they too give birth like God?

That's why it is unnecessary to discuss doctrines with an unbeliever. Jesus came from the Father purposely to die on the cross. Nothing more. We today are the children of Jesus who He has begotten through His Word.

Isaiah prophesied thus about Jesus in 53:10:

"But it was the LORD’s good plan to crush him and cause him grief. Yet when his life is made an offering for sin, he will have many descendants. He will enjoy a long life, and the LORD’s good plan will prosper in his hand."

You know when the Jews were asking Mohammed what the spirit is, neither him nor Allah had an answer. So, I'll excuse you for asking why the Spirit didn't progenate. These are deeply spiritual things that your mind cannot fathom. They're beyond you. You need some basic understanding of God to understand these things.

Jesus didn't come to earth to progenate, He came to die for sins. Through His death for sins, He begets spiritual children. We believers are all the children of God in Christ Jesus.

"For you are all children of God through faith in Christ Jesus." - Galatians 3:26

This analogy is false and illogical!
This is a bland statement. You should debunk the falsehood and state the illogicality.

In the Qur'an Jesus is the the created Spirit from Allah! He was created by the Word of Allah "Be" and "he is".

He is simply a Human and messenger of Allah!
Whose Spirit is the said created Spirit? A spirit has a source. Spirits don't get created out of nothing. Spirits are not created out of clay or physical substances, they're transferred or sourced. Whose Word is that word? The Bible says the Word Became Flesh.

The same thing you do to the Bible is what you are implying in the Qur'an!
You will always do Eisegesis and exegesis without any Biblical verse!
I haven't done any exegesis for you. I'm just clarifying your ignorance.

The title of the thread is which Bible Verse Proves That The Spirit Is God Omniscient?
So answer the question!
The question is absolutely a wrong question to ask because God is is Spirit. You should rather ask what Bible verse says that God is omniscient. You're asking about the Spirit of God as though the Spirit of God is not God Himself.

So your analogy explaining trinity (with human body, soul and spirit) is illogical!
Bland! State what's illogical about it. If you can't comprehend what was said, I'll still break it down further for you.

Jesus is a human extension of the Godhead. A God man who came to die for man as a man while also showing man how to relate with God as men.

When I say Jesus, while He was physically on earth was God in His Spirit but man in His body, what do.you understand by that? He was the Divine playing a human role in the world to solve man's problems of sin and disconnection from God. That's why He's the Messiah.

1. Those verses equally make clear that Jesus Christ is NOT the Father; Jesus Christ is NOT YHWH, God of Israel. Yes, Jesus Christ is born from some of the essence that is His Father, but He made it abundantly clear in His Gospel that He is not His Father, the God of Israel — YHWH. undecided

2. The Holy Spirit comes directly from God the Father - John 14 vs 15 - 26. God is True— Every Word of God is Truth—and His Spirit of Truth which is the Father is the one who is the Holy Spirit in the Kingdom of God. undecided

3. Interesting assertion there by Paul! undecided

4. I see what you are trying to do here, but I think you are very wrong. You are attempting to separate God's very own Spirit of Truth from the person of God. The problem with achieving such an idea is that you no longer have the same God. if God is separated from His Spirit of Truth that would mean there is no longer a Truth element to the person of God and He ceases to be the same God.

I think Paul is more right here in his assertion than you. Jesus Christ said NO ONE— implying no human or being apart from God, the Father — knows. The Spirit of Truth is part and parcel of who the Father is. (You remove Him from the Father and what you have is an image/idol of the Father, of lesser quality than the Almighty.) so cannot be considered in this case to be an entity detached or separate from the Father Him. In the very same way, even the Spirit of Eternal Life cannot be detached or separated from the person of the Father, the Spirit of Truth also cannot.

Please what exactly are you trying to say?

Paul's word or what Churchgoers told you?

Well the Holy Spirit is not a person from my own understanding it's God's active force used in accomplishing whatever God purposed.
You have a physical body with different parts used for various purposes right? That's what the Holy Spirit is not a separate person.

So when dealing with Churchgoers try to keep me out of your arguments with them we and them aren't on the same page regarding what we preach, teach and practice!

The concept of God having a form or being visible is contradictory to the Scriptures that teach God’s (the Christian/Biblical one)spiritual nature.
John 4:24- God is spirit, and those who worship him must worship in spirit and truth

Deuteronomy 4:15-17-Since you saw no form when the Lord spoke to you at Horeb out of the fire, take care and watch yourselves closely,
*so that you do not act corruptly by making an idol for yourselves, in the form of any figure—the likeness of male or female,
*the likeness of any animal that is on the earth, the likeness of any winged bird that flies in the air

1 Timothy 1:17-All honor and glory to God forever and ever! He is the eternal King, the unseen one who never dies; he alone is God. Amen.

Exodus 33:20- But you cannot see my face,g for no one can see me and live

John 1:18-No one has ever seen God,but the one and only Son, who is himself God and is in closest relationship with the Father, has made him known.
Is this one and only son of Mary the virgin?

Romans 1:20-For ever since the world was created, people have seen the earth and sky. Through everything God made, they can clearly see his invisible qualities—his eternal power and divine nature. So they have no excuse for not knowing God.

Colossians 1:15-Christ is the visible image of the invisible God. He existed before anything was created and is supreme over all creation

While humans are created in God’s image and have bodies, this does not imply that God has a body as well. Instead, He is invisible and immaterial.

All the scriptures you're quoting are talking about physical man seeing a spiritual God which is impossible. The naked eyes cannot see God, even though Moses was allowed to see God's back part. The spiritual man would see God. When we put off our earthly tabernacle, we shall see God. You can't see God in your flesh. Adam and Eve saw God regularly in Eden until they sinned.

You mean you don't understand your scripture?

The ability to “see” God spiritually involves perceiving His attributes, understanding His character, and experiencing His presence in a profound way. Through faith, prayer, meditation, and a pure heart, individuals can develop a deeper spiritual connection with God that allows them to “see” Him in a spiritual sense. nott physically sighting.

The Matthew 5:8 also has its literal fulfillment
No human eye can see God now
When the chosen ones are resurrected to heaven to rule with Jesus Christ
They will become powerful spirit creatures
And they will see God
Just like the angels

Oga rest
Jesus never claimed to be equal to God
He said the father is greater than he is
Where is it said that the holy Spirit is God?

He is just a slowpoke that needs no attention all what he has in his head are the songs and dancing steps of his captors anything else is delusion to him that's why i always ignore him!

While in the flesh, we'll see God's attributes only

How did Moses see God's back? How did the elders of Israel see God and even saw what was under His feet?

God is spiritually visible with blinding glory. He has a throne, and has hands with fingers. The Bible says the 10 commandments on the tables of stone were written with the finger of God. God has a fave. He has a body, and the Lord Jesus Himself is the visible expression of the invisible God. God created man in His own image.

God's back that Moses saw is also God's character and attributes?

We wouldn't need faith to see God when we get to heaven okay? We don't need prayer and meditation there to see God. We ourselves would possess the same body as Christ's Celestia body. We shall see God as He is. The Angels see Him daily.

1. There you are: if you say something is greater than the other, they must be of the same kind, shey?

Can you say a cow is greater than a car?

2. Tell us where it written that Holy Spirit is not God.

No response to number 1?
