The GDP in Naira has increased significantly in the last few months, according to IMF. However, the devaluation of Naira saw Nigeria drop to number 4.

Historically, GDP rise and fall for most African countries. Nigeria has had her share in the oscillations of her GDP. Nigeria has been number 1 at various times in history, even under Abacha. In 1996, under Abacha, Nigeria was number 1 in Africa.

I believe Nigeria will get back to number 1 next year or before the end of the year or when the government implement the new minimum wage.
