Kobojunkie:If they come up with a way to do it in secret or decentralised it, you will complain that only a certain group of people were given. Now, they do it openly in the full glare of everybody, you complain again. We complain too much in Nigeria for a country where the Tax to GDP ratio is only 6%. |

BucketHat:The keyword here is had. The country can no longer afford to ignore the millions who are hungry and in need. Sadly, this has to happen now. |

Lagos is putting structural changes in place, from agric cooperation with Kebbi, Niger and other states, to massive rice processing factories, to sustainable rail, water and road infrastructure, to car assembly plants, to Lekki deep sea port and all the massive developmental infrastructure within the Lekki Free trade zone and others too numerous to mention. The masterstroke is that it has its own as President with the massive benefits that will attract to Lagos - a case in point is the first phase of the Lagos-Calabar coastal road that will open up the entire Lekki corridor. Are there more things to be done? Yes of course. Are the current steps in the right direction? Yes of course. Will it take time for the full impact to be felt? Yes of course. In the mean time, the vulnerable needs to be supported through food palliatives such as this and other short term poverty alleviation methods. It is an integral part of a total package designed to uplift citizens economically. |

Prince500:A good country ought to have a good foodbank system in place abeg! I agree with you that this here is more a political show where it seems those who show up with be bought with the food but a fully functioning FoodBank system, removed from all of the politics and deceit is necessary. |

Kewtt: Tell them o. They think we are stupid. They send Peanuts to fools and then put them on the streets so that they will lavish in poverty and be forever indebted to them. They think by giving out food, bikes, keke, grinding machines etc is empowerment. WHAT A SHAME ON THE GOVERNMENT. |

That's one difference between an Igbo boy and a Yoruba slave. A Yoruba slave believes in getting crumbs from his slavemasters so hunger won't kpai him now and so he can be happy for few minutes. An Igbo boy believes in going hungry for 10 years and stay happy and live in affluence forever. Between these two, which one are you? When will you free yourself from this mental slavery and begin to think as an Igbo boy? Haba mana Eriggs: 1 Like |

I should start thinking of how to sell fake drugs to kill women and children, start thinking of selling substandard electronic to people, start thinking of carrying hard drugs to foreign lands, start thinking of scams to soil the name of the nation abroad, please let me remain my Yoruba guy |

Do you know why they store the food that can last for 50yrs. It's mostly if there is a natural disaster including war. Ohh, I forgot it's even a natural disaster that you are alive and healthy and couldn't free yourself from the slavery of receiving food from food banks from those who actually put you in that state. Won't you prefer a situation where sanwo Olu provided jobs such that you can daily earn a living and feed yourself at your own will. chopnaira: |

olaremint:Just so you know, not every state is reported to have received 80,000 bags of rice from Dangote in the last 4 weeks. So let's ask sensible questions here. 1 Like 1 Share |

Now you are regurgitating the same line your slave masters have sold to you for 50yrs. Wait a minute, did they not tell you about millions of Igbo boys your age who lived and some are currently living with their Oga for 9yrs, eating only twice per day, not buying clothes for 9yrs, not drinking beer with friends, not attending party every other weekend like your owambe only to be settled later on and he became financially stable that he pulled other family members out of poverty and it so continues? Are you living at all or you live by regurgitating old and stale lines of lies that have kept you in bondage?
