A governor announced that his successor must come from a particular region and 5 persons who were part of the meeting announced their interests immediately after the governor's declaration, despite the fact that they are not from the desired region.

Yewa axis should be able to produce the next governor, any credible candidate apart from Yayi should be considered

As it stands, Yayi remains the most formidable candidate from Yewa, more politically influential than both Gboyega Isiaka and Adekunle Akinlade in Yewa. Dapo Abiodun was the recipient of Yayi's endorsement in 2019. Dapo Abiodun rode on Yayi's political bloc. Also, with Tinubu's influence, Yayi's candidacy is sure. Although, I believe Adekunle Akinlade would have been the best candidate from Yewa.
