The government is to blame. If the road were to be good, you won't have that number of vehicles trapped.
May God's judgement come on all those who were in a position to fix that road but refused to

We are yet to get it right on our roads. You see those tanker drivers? They can drink and smoke for Africa. There should be regular checks on their mental status before any truck is lifted.

May the souls of those that died rest in peace. Amen πŸ™

Nigeria is a death trap, you wake up in the morning dead then fight through the day to stay alive.

As common as India, trucks don’t enter the road until 9pm to 5am. With this the chances of killing people reduces at least.
RIP to the deads who were going about their normal business

Na India you dey call Common, Abi? 😏

Nigeria with bad roads and Lack of Electricity, to the extent that Minister of Power dey carry Powerbank Waka,

Yes find out what happened at the front when you are inside trafic and remember to leave your vehicle when issue started because if you lose your car but gain your life, you will buy another car.

Similar thing happened years back for Lagos, where one or many died because they are trying to drive out the car but fire catch them and roast them. Na those who sacrifice their car for their life tell the story how one man trying to save the car but eventually lose his life and car

Some accidents may be ritual sacrifices in disguise, but people may say it is caused by carelessness or over-speeding.. When satan wants to do evil, he sometimes masks it a normal reason, but the cause may be deeper.

Repent today and follow Jesus today while still you may. In eternity, it is only Jesus that leads the way to heaven; believe it or not. Repent from sin and accept Jesus today.

Nigerians and their insensitive reportage. What informed the use of "Many roasted" which appears callous and irresponsible?

Tragic development. RIP to the deceased.

Very insensitive of the reporter to use that word "roasted". As if they were animals. Smh

Some States here also got this law; like Kaduna, trucks can only go through the bypass during daytime. Going to cities and metropolis during the day isn't allowed until after 8 pm.

I know that fire very well, happened around stadium side towards iponri. Many cars burnt but it was one man that died..The man that died was a neighbor. He had just bought that benz (the common one, not v-boot and not baby Benz). We heard same story, when they came to break the news of his fatal burns, cos he didn't die instantly. They said everyone there begged him to leave the car and run, but he was hell bent on finding a way to maneuver the car out of the gridlock. The two little male children he left behind at the time are now a terror in Surulere last I heard.

What do you want me say, Nigerians always think that India is poor and wretched without knowing that electricity doesn’t go off in India and they literally manufacture almost EVERYTHING they use.
Sincerely as a Nigerian i have benefited from India more than I can ever benefit from Nigeria.

No tanker should carry more than 10000 liters

You will see some tankers and fear go catch you almost 80000 capacity on the road

The guilty parties are the reckless indorama, the careless road contractor-RCC, the foolish truck driver parking along the road, both FG and rivers state governments for being to scared of indorama and those mad animals that call themselves truck drivers.

May the dead rest in peace and may all losses be replenished.

What do you expect in a country that has no driving rules or regulations? The drivers are not sane enough to ride bicycles safely and the roads are death traps. It's a miracle that incidents like that don't happen every day in Nigeria.

We need to understand the fundamentals of white man's technology before we will be use use them safely. And we may start by cleaning our streets first and putting our environment in order.

Those man made machines are weapons of mass destruction in the hands of fools.

..

Why do we always have news of tanker explosion in Nigeria?

I have checked other western nations extensively, and I can't find this reoccurring menace.

When something happens once, you can overlook, but when it becomes consistent with loss of lives, one has to very critical.

One thing I know, we pay zero attention to safety in Nigeria. These tankers are carrying very volatile products and should be subject to routine checks.

How are these tankers built? Are there compartments inside tankers to reduce volatility? Do drivers undergo routine checks for leaks or cracks?

Tankers are high risk vehicles, and should be subjected to very very strict regulations before they hit the road.

my 2 cent sha.

This guy say western countries even here in west Africa you can't hear that shit only in the zooo you hear that kind news
