There is a recent documentary about Peterside on AriseNews. I was shocked when I saw Wale Edun sitting in the mix. No one barely mentioned his connection to Stanbic, even when he took the role of Minister of Finance.

Interesting...according to the documentary, Peterside created Stanbic, but Wale Edun was part of the team...not sure if there was co-ownership equity, though.

He was clearly part of the team - he was ED of the bank, but I'm not sure about the co-founding part. When the Access Bank story is mentioned, for example, Aig-Imoukhuede and the late Wigwe are listed as co-founders in their takeover. Or in the case of GTB, Adeola and the late Aderinokun were co-founders.
