People that don’t do large transactions or businesses will come out and say this policy is good all to justify their stupid claims of “Nigerians don’t pay taxes”.

How do you expect people that don’t earn a decent living to pay taxes? Government will not invest in SMEs, people development but waste billions and trillions building roads and rails at over inflated prices. The people they failed to invest in properly through education will turn around and destroy those infrastructure because they do not understand the value of those infrastructure. Oshodi interchange is a perfect example. That place was built less than 8 years ago, go look at it now.

How do you ask me to pay 5000 Naira as levy for a 1M Naira transaction; what wisdom is in that? So if I carry out a transaction of 15M a month I get to pay 75000 Naira as cybersecurity levy only? Isn’t that enough to pay one or two staff?

I don’t know how these people think honestly, they just wake up and make stupid policies and their minions would go to any lengths to defend them even if they suffer for it more.

When we told y'all not to borrow, did you listen?

helinues:
Okay, if we don't want the government to borrow unnecessarily, where do Peter Obi expect to get the funds to put into SMEs? Government already started with something like the recent N50k payment

The said tax in Nigeria which is amongst the lowest in Africa, how many Nigerians are paying it?

What's the % of people that would be affected with the 0.005% increase?

The increments in cyber security was approved 6 years ago but never implemented

Buhari, supported by BAT 🦇 & his trove of Baterians supported Buhari foolish borrowing for 8 damned years! Now, you want to claim innocent ba?

Y'all should be apologizing and making atonements to Nigerians. The mere fact that a sane person can vote Buhari for another four years after a destructive first term is sign that that person needs mental health evaluation by specialists!

What is the purpose of this post?
To show the original post and PO's stand
Tomorrow they will copy without copying the exact thing he said. They claimed that he said that he will remove fuel subsidy, and used it to justify their error and thoughtlessness. They failed to acknowledge the manner in which he said he will remove subsidy. Tomorrow they will justify their taxation with half truths.

You don't know how evil they are. They supported the 8 years of locust we were plunged into by the last regime. They supported the mindless borrowings. The mindless looting like the air Nigeria scam, "feeding" school children while they were in their parents's home, etc.

The billions and trillions of naira being embezzled by our so called leaders can empower millions of people with a good start up capital. Who business do u expect someone in Nigeria to open with 50k? Almost everybody that got that money used it for stomach infrastructure.

You are a dark soul. I'm sure you won't be doing this if NL wasn't faceless.

You asked where OBI would have gotten money from? First, this is why OBI told Tinubu that Coastal road isn't a priority at this hard times. Why not use quarter of that budget to fix the existing roads and put the rest into SME?

You see why una no get sense? You prefer funding what's not necessary at this point and turn back to ask where is the money.

I hate when people compare Nigeria with other countries.
First our naira is the weakest currency in Africa now, #1000 can not feed even a child for a day.
How many African countries are having more than 10 airplane for the president? How guarantee it is that the said taxes will be used for good purpose?
Bringing in more taxes when the economy is in comma is being insensitive to people's plight.
