The Coalition of Northern Groups (CNG) has strongly rejected the proposed 0.5% cybersecurity levy on electronic transactions by the Central Bank of Nigeria (CBN), describing it as extortion. The group believes the levy lacks compassion and empathy considering the current economic hardship faced by Nigerians.
