The Chief of Defence Staff also led Prince Harry to pay a courtesy visit to Governor Uba Sani at the Sir Kashim Ibrahim House.

That moment Harry saw the picture, goosebumps 💯

If you believe they are here on a humanitarian visit, then you don't know anything about international politics.
And if you also believe they are cut off from the royal family and thus does not represent the king of England, again you don't know anything about international politics.

Good morale booster for our often gallant soldiers.

But better morale boosters would be:

1. Better attention to welfare
2. Increased salaries & allowances
3. Modernisation of the military
4. Better training both tactically and for civilian-military relations
5. Prompt payment of deceased benefits and injury claims.

Its a mind game. They capitalize on the white savior complex of ignorant black people. Seeing them will be like seeing white Jesus coming to save. It's all a smokescreen to remove attention from the shit you're in.

Honestly I have be avoiding to comment on this unecessary Harry-Meghan bruhaha.

I'm so upset that old men, women, monarchs, a whole obi of Onitsha left his own throne flew down to Lagos just because of a young man called Harrry and I'm seen Bianca, Okoya, etc opening teeth to have handshake with this boy who is not even heir to the UK throne so if its Charles the King that came what will happen?

Sorry this is serious complexity slavery. In UK who cares about Harry-Meghan? Do British cares about obi of Onitsha a paramount king here in Nigria? then what the f u c k is all these nonsense with Harry?

He came to see wounded soldiers for what? Is he a doctor? Or a cash donor? Or what?

Black people use your head.

Did people bow to greet those commoners? I believe so. Slave mentality will never die from the black man’s psyche. It’s why I will raise my unborn children in foreign nations. At least there one has to prove the reason why others should worship him/her.

That soldier in the first picture is fit. I’m impressed.

Many of us don't give a Bleep about them or what they came here for.

You think it's easy for a westerner like Harry to just wake up and decide to have a date with African mosquitoes and diseases.
What an achievement indeedm grin

Wow! Did he kill your family member? So much hate for a total stranger. You think you know him because you see him in newspapers? How about a complete stranger praying for Ogun to kill you and your mother?
Sad little thing.

Prince Harry and his wife visited Nigeria recently, but the purpose of the visit was almost overshadowed by a lot of noise about his dispute with the Royal Family, issues of colonialism, Nigerian politics and the war between supporters of the Royal Family and supporters of Harry and Meghan.

One person even claimed that the British High Commission released a statement that Prince Harry was not representing the Royal Family or the British Government in Nigeria, while another person complained that the Nigerian Government was hosting Prince Harry, even though he was on a private visit to Nigeria.

So, why was Prince Harry in Nigeria, in what capacity was he in Nigeria and who was his host?

Harry and Meghan did not come to Nigeria as representatives of the Royal Family or the British Government, neither were they here in their private capacity. This wasn't just some holiday or anything like that.

Many soldiers get injured in battle and some of those injuries are permanent. They could make the soldier lose his job and they could lead to a feeling of worthlessness and depression.

Prince Harry created the Invictus Games (in 2014) for injured military personnel. He served in the UK Armed Forces (particularly in Afghanistan) and he saw the impact of injuries on soldiers. The Invictus Games gives injured military personnel a purpose and helps to raise their spirits. These injured military personnel get to represent their country again and participate in sports, just like the Olympic Games. However, unlike the Olympic Games, there is no official medals table, because they want the participants to focus on enjoying the experience and they want everybody to leave with a good feeling.

Prince Harry was in Nigeria as a guest of Defence Headquarters (DHQ). He was welcomed at Defence Headquarters by the Chief of Defence Staff, he went to see the Minister of Defence and most importantly, he went to see injured soldiers at the hospital and he, together with the Chief of Defence Staff, played sitting volleyball with military personnel that are amputees or who have some kind of injury in their leg. Basically, the Chief of Defence Staff, General Christopher Gwabin Musa, was his host.

Picture 1: Prince Harry at Defence Headquarters with the Minister of Defence, Mohammed Badaru Abubakar and the Chief of Defence Staff, General Christopher Gwabin Musa.

Picture 3: Prince Harry receiving the salute from the quarter guard at Defence Headquarters (DHQ).
This is another brilliant thread by @Naptu2.

The Daily Mirror and other British tabloids tended to focus more on the non-royal nature of Prince Harry's visit to Nigeria, Meghan's royal acknowledgement by 4 Nigerian Kings in Lagos, her dressing, her late arrival by one hour at an event, the royal snub that was allegedly given to Prince Harry by his father and older brother when he visited England (just before he and Meghan headed for the 3-day visit to Nigeria).

The primary focus of his visit to Nigeria indeed was to see injured soldiers, the promotion of the Invictus Games... Meghan's 43 percent "Nigeria Region" DNA ancestry genetic marker was an extra coincidence.

So the criteria to joining the "Invictus games" is DISABILITY??

He is fifth in the line of succession to the British throne. This is highly unlikely.

He stood gallantly at the quarter Guard. Meanwhile, FG and DHQ have a whole lot of job to do as far as the welfare of men and officers is concerned.

General Musa returned to Lagos House, Marina (after Prince Harry had left Nigeria) to thank Governor Sanwo-Olu for receiving the Prince.
Ok. It's noted. Maybe in future, destiny ll change hands and Harry ll be King of UK. Then we can remind him of how kind he needs to be to Nigeria.

What's your purpose on earth? Ode! That Ogun go first kill you and your posterity for invoking Ogun's name trivially.
