I am 100% convinced that fhis guy is secretly DUMBER than a truckload of bricks.

The worst part is he assumes everybody is as dumb as he is.

First of all, he definitely does NOT have a friend who is the Assistant Director of the FBI. An airhead like this guy would have namedropped him like 20 times instead of something vague like "a friend of mine".

Plus, the Assistant Director of the FBI would know that it's completely IMPOSSIBLE to track any Dollar notes. That's why criminals like drug dealers do deals in CASH.

They merely have SECURITY features to make them recognisable as genuine and not counterfeit. And the Naira notes have similar features.

This guy is always so eager to spew LAMBACIOUS shiiits and exaggerate mediocrity.

He's the same guy that the EXCITEDLY held a press conference about how a 17-year old Yahoo boy got his BVN from his phone number.

This guy does NOT know what he's doing. But that's okay because he fits right in with the rest of Tinubu's appointees.

Maybe the US government has found a way to implant electronic chips in their currencies.

Very true .

During the incompetent Buhari days , a guy was arrested for directly funding bandits and Boko haram.to the tune of over a billion USD..

The story died ,just like that ..

Then another man , a Fulani from Niger Republic ,collected $450m from the Nigerian army to supply them with weapons and eloped with the entire sum. Till this day

This apc govt don't have what it takes to fight terrorism you can't give what you don't have.

I think that maybe government is upset about people making money through a channel (crypto) which it can't control. People making money freely without kowtowing to government.

So they want to squash it. Either they control it and milk it dry, and only those picked can enjoy the crypto, banks and their other aspects will get their cut.... Either government bellyful through it, or they scatter it. They are jealous.

This statement is the dumbest statement ever made by a government official. How can the FBI track every one of the trillions of dollar bills printed. With what technology? Is there GPS transmitter in every dollar bill?
Nigeria has the dumbest government officials in the world.

Crypto should be banned in Nigeria... We take advantage of loopholes alot... we are not mentally ready and capable of handling the don'ts of crypto... alot are so foolish not to know that pressure on crypto also affects our currency... crypto is not traded in Naira , its traded in dollars , and worse of all , it can be untraceable, its a hub for criminal activities because u don't need the conventional banks to run it

You can, in the sense that you want to track them. For example, they have the data of the number on the notes, and can work with the last seen(s). But that's only possible through banks, not cash to cash.
Yes, you can track a PARTICULAR bill. But the suggestion that someone knows where EVERY dollar bill is is wrong. They can't do that. If they could, terrorists and drug dealers won't be using dollars.

There are somethings you don't say.

Let's assume that his so called friend in the FBI gave him a classified information on how dollar bills are tracked, "MUST HE COME AND SPEW IT TO THE PUBLIC,?"

I think it's even LAMBA, with the way drug dealers dey move US dollars in cash, if it was trackable the U.S would have easily gotten all those $$$ back.

Or you are mistaken armed robbers and kidnappers for terrorists? Man go dey run mouth like woman, telling lies upandan like a cheating hoe.

The Chairman of the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission, Ola Olukoyede, has revealed that unbeknownst to young cryptocurrency traders in Nigeria, terrorists are using their trade to fund terrorism in the country.

The EFCC boss said some of the people who receive money to trade in cryptocurrencies do not know that their financiers are sponsors of terrorism.

He added that some of the 1,146 bank accounts recently frozen by the anti-graft agency were conduits for terrorism funding.

Olukoyede revealed the development during an event organized by some Civil Society Organizations in Abuja.

The programme, titled, “Multi-stakeholders’ national dialogue on preventing terrorism financing and violent extremism,” was held at the Transcorp Hilton Hotels, Abuja on Wednesday.

Olukoyede revealed, “Some of you are aware of our activities in the area of investigating virtual currency trading and the likes of cryptocurrencies.

“They are potential platforms to fund terrorism. A lot of us don’t understand that. Some of our discoveries during the investigation of some of these platforms were mind-boggling.

“We thought Binance was a major one. Yes, it was. We are prosecuting them. But there are other platforms we have discovered.

“They used some of these young men. Some of them don’t know that the people who gave them money to trade are people who fund terrorism.”

The EFCC boss further said there is a need to adopt technology in tracking money used to fund terrorism in the country.

Olukoyede narrated how he was informed by a friend in the US Federal Bureau of Investigation, that dollar bills across the world can be tracked with technology.

“It is important for us to adopt the use of technology,” he said.

“I was comparing notes with an assistant director in the FBI — a friend of mine. He said: ‘My brother, from our systems in the US, we can track every printed dollar anywhere in the world’,” he added.

The EFCC boss added that Nigeria must get to that stage where technology can be deployed to track naira notes used for terrorism funding.

You can not ban crypto in Nigeria it's impossible. The only way is to shut down the internet.

Story story, if your friend told you how to track, go ahead and stop all this we don't need it here. A country where kidnapper uses their phone to call their victims family and can not be tracked is now talking about who finances them.

APC paid several millions if not billion to bandit as Ransom through Gumi, what are you now telling us.
Re: Terrorists Using Cryptocurrency Traders To Fund Insecurity — EFCC by delishpot: 6:22am On May 17
They have started propaganda. Anytime they want to embezzle funds they create some shitty stories around insecurity, frustrate Nigerians and empower their terrorist militia at the same time. Evil people.they create chaos and pretend to be fighting it.
From frustrating Nigerians to register sim, to NIN, to BVN, to registering and doing photo for sim, creating new naira notes, throwing Nigerians into poverty and misery yet the criminals are holding meetings with religious leaders up north, receiving Ransome payout without problems, making phone calls to negotiate with victims loved ones etc. The only people affected by all the evil laws the leaders place on people are the law abiding citizens.
