Tesla seems to be moving too fast with a technology that is yet to have widespread acceptance...it's a risky business strategy

The primary Market for teslas were the left concerned about the environment. Elon has tied his personal brand to tesla. In the past one year he has gone hard right very publicly. By so doing he has alienated his market base.

I think that was also what the ridiculous poorly thought out cybertruck was about. The far right are in love with trucks for the sake of trucks. Which is why a lot of truck drivers are derisively called pavement princesses. Elon must have thought they would replace the left he alienated.

Asian technologies focus on HIGH QUALITY AND LOW COST. While the westerners mostly do the original research and inventions, Asians take advantage of the findings more.
Asian technologies are for poor African countries

The best answer to a fool is to ignore him.

angry

Sad, but that's what will happen to a lot of Nigerian dealers who bought 2015 - 2016 just before forex rates crashed.

Many will insist on quickly adjusting rates to reflect current dollar rates just to sell a car bought for NGN 10 million for NGN 20 - 30 million. 200% increase in profits. Cool cash cool

Problem is that after a certain point, the market will collapse. People wouldn't be able to buy and then the inventory will simply rot.

Stop being a hypocrite. Address the fool who first started the issue. The 2nd person just replied.

what of the mega watts outside the grid?
Outside which grid? Lol. We are only able to generate 5000mw presently. We can't even power households for 24hrs. Where is the power for electric cars? When you never give band C, D power finish...

electric cars goes hand in hand with solar, especially if the owner of the electric car have solar installed both at home and where they work.... If all the electric cars in America plug in at the same time and everyone attempts "fast charging" the American electrical grid will fail too. People who can afford 24/7 electricity in Nigeria are already enjoying it... They are the demographic for electric cars... Not for people that want to buy 2003 corolla.

Evs that are totally powered by solar energy are not just realistic. As a secondary power source to top up already existing stored energy? Maybe. The amount of energy generated from solar energy is not adequate to power a car. People who can afford 24hrs electricity are enjoying evs? In Nigeria? what's the demographic and who are these people? Pray tell...
