Your mumuness if from Russia. Your weed is from Colombo and never from Kwale. Which one is first? Shun or eliminate corruption first and give the people job and watch them happily going to the tax office (would have been happening by now if uncorrupted Peter Obi is there) or tax away their placenta and intestine while wallowing in corruption, subsidising Hajj for 90bn, Tinubu disappearing every two weeks etc etc?

I can see that you are just a cry baby.

They have used all manner of ways to suck out money from the economy and it has dried up.

Instead of Sanwo olu to tell is puppeteer to look for innovative ways to inject money in the economy,he is advocating for tax ways to suck out money.

All this na big and unnecessary grammar...!

Eradicate Corruption and make the system Corruption-proof first before expanding tax nets.

You can only inspire trust and tax compliance when you run a corruption-free government.

•Of the NBILLIONS Palliatives given to the Governors and
•NBillions smuggled into yearly Budgets and
• Quarterly(every 4- months) Multiple -NBillions received from Oil Sharing Formula of the Federation Accounts.
•13% Special Allocation to Oil Producing States, etc.
So,when the Governors moves these Homongous NBILLIONS in Compromised and Corruption manners, who taxed them?
The governor should tell the Masses, why Tax- Net- Base has not been able to apply here into their Corrupt entities of the governors, but is always the Public!
e g,it's easy to removed Subsidies but you are Sluggish to Increase the Workers Wages and Salaries and Pensioners Monthly stipends! Indeed,a popular decisions!
Are we now running an Egalitarian- Welfare States but majority of these Funds are still Stolen by these same Politicians- from LG to States to Federal Govt and most of its Parastatals ,Agencies and Depts-the Corruption story are the same! So,who is deceiving who?
Nigerians are not problems to any Tax, especially when the Money are brazenly Stolen by those governing them!
'Taxing the People beyond their Capacity doesn't makes the Best of Governance' ,says Margret Thatcher - former UK PM.

How is government supposed to feed your family if you don’t work
You don't understand, do you? Government won't feed YOUR family; government SHOULD provide an enabling environment so YOU can feed YOUR family...that's its prerogative as a government undecided

The Holy book says that if you don't work, you will not eat, so we are all commanded to work but if for some reasons either due to unemployment and some folks cannot work, the government should provide some kind of support to the unemployed pending when they can ge back to work but you might say that the government is doing that already but it is not enough because most of the programs directed at supporting the poor masses have been rendered useless due to your egunje, saboteurs and your criminal politicians managing such programs eg Your Big Sister Edu / Humanitarian affairs minister grin

Should the government not employ people and pay them to a comparable wage to politicians, for the enabling environment to be created for private entrepreneurs and big investors to employ more people in factories and services sectors

Enabling environment of law and order, security, well maintained roads, water, electricity, education, health care, research etc?

No tax is good when your economy is booming because then the minimum wage goes up, people have more spending power, industries make a lot of profit etc.
You cannot keep taxing poor ppl, that's wickedness.
Obi said it, "make the economy viable then you can increase you tax"

And you feel this government is described as what you say? "Non-Corrupt and Transparent"? Not to even talk of judicial in spending.

The tax net and weight can be increased all you can but Nigerians will only end up putting moneys in their very large pockets that will never get filled.
