NIGERIA EMBASSY should please tell NIGERIANS why they are charging in USD to renew passports abroad instead of NAIRA. We hate our currency both home and abroad. Our government is not serious. It's like US renewing their passport in Nigeria in pounds. So weired and disgusting. 1 Like |

E- Naira failed for to many reason and I will list some 1. Local Acceptability- 90% of Nigeria will accept cash transfer instead of E-naira, it was a total waste of time and resources using E-naira... 2. Global Acceptability- You will be stupid to tell someone oversea you want to pay in E-naira, he would laugh at you.. 3. Valuation... 1E-naira was valued at 1# naira... What a waste of stupid idea... So what was the use... 4. Publicity- The publicity was so poor, majority of Nigeria were not aware of it... 5. 1 Like |

Oyerinde16:The 4th reason is the summary of it all. Why can't I just use my normal bank transfer or cash to make transactions? Why add an extra volatile means of payment ? |

SocialJustice:If it is well regulated, some legit crypto dealers would still adopt it. But trust the Nigerian Government.. How to properly regulate it wouldn't be their main target, but how to generate revenue from it. Generating massive revenues from it would be more important to them than to make sure the users don't use it to commit fraud. 1 Like 1 Share |
