They are being realistic with N500k as minimum wage?

Where do they expect the government to get the funds? To borrow or to increase more tax base which Nigerians are fuming at both?

What should happen to private sector workers, how would they be able to cope in the same economy where the government workers would be earning X300% of their basic salary?

What do you think would happen to Nigeria economy with government paying N500k as salary? Inflation of course.

So what's realistic about Labour's proposal
But there was no paucity of funds when it was Yahaya's turn to embezzle tens of billions of naira?

When it comes to welfare for citizens,
APC will be lamenting lack of funds..

But when it comes to welfare of politicians,
the sky is the limits..

Govt spends nothing less than N1.5bn/ per
year on Each national legislator
without argument.

APC has run down the economy of this
country to the level that government is
unable to even pay a minimum wage of
💲100 which was being paid under PDP
as of 2015❗️❗️❗️

They are lamenting now because it is the common man that is asking for the pay but they have no problem paying millions of naira for foreign automobiles for themselves and collecting unreasonable monies as salaries and allowances.

When govt approved N30k minimum wage in 2018, $1 was N167, so that amount was about $180. Even then a litre of petrol was N87. That amount could get you 345 litres of petrol.

Fast-forward to the economy destroyed by Tinubu, the N30000 or $180 then is now equivalent to N280,000. Also, the 345 litres of petrol is now about N267,000 post subsidy.
So, tell me how N500,000 is unrealistic, when you ought to increase minimum wage by nothing less than 45%. We all remember that they increased it from N18000 to N30000, a 67% increase.

This is not TRUE... No point checking other false facts you may be projecting.

Look at it this way, according to UN, to be above the poverty line, you must spend atleast $2 per day.

$2 per day is N3000 per day(1500*2). That is N90,000 per month for a bachelor.

How much will be enough for a family of one man, one woman and two children? 90,000 x 4 = N360, 000!

Anything below this, they're living in poverty!

In as much as I do not subscribe to the amount demanded by Labour… what do you mean by where does labour want the FG to see money to pay?

Same FG that removed subsidy on fuel, electricity tariff which has affected prices of practically everything in the country, where does government also want the workers to get money to afford many of these things their policies brought upon them?

It is only fair for the government to come up with something reasonable and when Labour sees seriousness, they will then come down to reality with them.

With the cost of living today, it’s better Labour raises an unrealistic bar so that the negotiations can conclude at something fair and realistic for all.

If you are going to blame the minimum wage as the cause of inflation, I must confess, you learn nothing

You are now implying that The current high inflation the country is experiencing at the moment is because of the N30000 minimum wage

So in this people mind, the average private nursery school in Benue or Osun can afford to pay each of their teachers 500,000, and that one-man struggling business can afford to pay their cleaner 500,000k per month or you think minimum wage begins and ends at the public office, in fact, currently some states ain't even generating enough to pay the 30k minimum wage,

if level one step one is 500k, how much will fresh graduates which usually start at level 8 receive, 3.5million monthly I guess, then a level 13/14 senior public servant will receive 13m monthly or do you intend to pay level one step one 500k but intend to pay level fourteen 600k?

Na craze dy worry NLC

I just pity non government workers, cos this ridiculous amount proposed by NLC will cause very high inflation

There is no way a bag of rice won't rise up to #250k
