Ideally, people shouldn't live in those oil regions and should have been relocated long ago. It's too late for her to fight a battle that's already lost.

They are corrupt cos the government is corrupt... the truth is that every company wanna make money by any means ....if shell wants to make money thru the legitimate way , but top government officials down to presidency , introduces them to corrupt practices, do u think they will resist ?? As they say , if u go tk Rome, u act like the Romans .... only Nigeria will hire a foreign coach and tell him that they will release a statement to the press on his salary but he will only get half , while they share half ...if he refuses, he will not get the job... if u know how much shell coughs out to bribe , so that operations can go on... only in Nigeria will Yahoo be seen as an acceptable job , only in Nigeria can the military arrest a civilian for trival issues , only in Nigeria will people hoard Fx to make it scarce just to make profit, only in Nigeria will government officials in conjunction with military personals bunker crude oil, only Nigeria will a known criminal like portablebe made police ambassador,
only in Nigeria will a criminal militant and a bunkerer be given billions to protect pipelines, only Nigerian referees are not invited to ref in tournaments because of their corrupt ways to avoid match fixing, only in Nigeria a man with no past record be elected to rule ... The courts are the bedrock of corruption... so what will u have shell and the rest do ??.. Nigeria is a very damaged country

Unfortunately this is the sad truth. You see traditional rulers telling oil companies to buy them houses and cars, instead of developing the communities and when they refuse, they send militant to disturb their operation

The west are only able to have a stranglehold on us because we allow self serving, conniving vermin's to be out leaders. If our actual representatives are not given leeway, we would have found solutions to problems bedeviling this nation. As long as we have leaders supported by the west while holding the illusion and delusions that because we held elections we chose our leaders, our resources will continue to serve the interests of parasites from Europe and America.

If we are serious, we must start by holding every leader our street accountable, then the wards, the local government, the state and ultimately the federal government. We cannot leave the one we have an actual chance if influencing to start with ones we aren't anywhere equipped enough to fight.

So far, there is no class consciousness. Majority have been destroyed mentally and consciously with tribalism and religion. None of these have economic or political value to the individual as much as class consciousness. No revolution can occur without acknowledgement of class and a conscious effort to restructure society.

For now, make we still dey play. Each year, APC plunges us into deeper economic problems yet what triggers many is tribal sentiment. As if anyone gets a better bargain in the market based on tribe or religion. Make we still dey play.

Where is the remaining part of the video?

Why did you cut it off?

All this is not as important as the response from the other end.

The question is, why did you bring forth one side of the story without allowing us hear the response?

This is one of the problems in the media space.

We want to hike people, not inform them to make better judgement

Seventy years of Shell profiting off the lives/livelihoods of millions, is seventy years of the Fg enabling the destruction of the region just for politicians to afford new SUVs every budget cycle and send their kids to expensive schools abroad. Shell has been exploring in Saudi Arabia, Qatar, Jordan to the benefit of their host communities with minimal damages, but it’s only in Nigeria that they have been comfortable in destruction. Look to your FG, foreigners cannot overvalue lives the govt has already undervalued. undecided

She was giving enough time to express herself..she doesn't need to be threatening anyone. That they sell their asset doesn't stop their liabilities if they actually profited from the destruction to the environment.

She began very well, she had an opportunity to ask and extract answers but she did not have the emotional stability to see it through so she ended up looking uncoordinated.
The big problem here is that the federal government has never been on the side of the people of Niger delta. Not just the evil APC government but every other government.
Past administrations have perfected the act of bribing Niger delta politicians and militants but no one cares about the people.
Without the government on the people's side, activist can do very little.

Without all these people aiding Shell, they would not be able to carry out all these atrocities.
These people enable Shell and other IOCs.
